Hello everyone! I was looking to gather some thoughts on our Tohaa boi, I think he has a pretty solid stat line, and I love the model but I can't quite figure out what to -do- with him? Like he hasn't got the ARO power to be anything more than a slight irritation to people on their active turn, and leveraging his MSV plus ODD could present favourable odds against basic enemy troopers, but he seems a tad pricey for hunting order generators... So I'd love to get some feedback from people who like to use him! (If such people exist!) Thanks for your time!

In my experience he's useful either as an ARO piece (he can go where your main fireteam cannot, and ODD+Sniper+2W is pretty resilient, or you can start him out of LoF and use him to opportunistically pick off enemy pieces. They know he's there, but if you put him on a good terrain piece (remembering that he has Forward Deployment natively) you should be able to find a spot where he'll have multiple interesting fire lines once the opponent has started to move up.

But also if he doesn't work for you, don't worry about it too much. Not every model fits with every person's game plan. To be honest I don't take him super often, either.

He's a classic jack of all trades, offensively he can sometimes stack modifiers to reduce enemies to -12 (ODD, Range, Cover) or he can get close and mix things up in CQB with his brace of Breaker Pistols, DTW, and Forward Deployment level 2.

Defensively he can bring board control if you go for the Minelayer, and he makes a good turn 2-3 resilient ARO piece once you've eliminated your opponent's high burst long range weaponry.

He's also a decent camo hunter if you like, with the option of MSV1, a DTW, pretty flexible +3 ranges, and the ability to start close to your opponent's skirmishers.

Ultimately he's not the best at anything, but he's decent at a whole lot of different things. Good for people that like playing generalist models, or with a more improvisational battle plan.

Thanks very much guys! Very interesting ideas there! I certainly like the idea of bringing him into play a bit later, once his main threats (msv etc) have been removed! I shall definetly try him out! I think I read somewhere that he can make a decent data tracker too!
