    Well the title says it.

I am to face StarCo in a Biotechvore mission. My first instinct is to take Steel Phalanx with 2 groups of four myrmidons that include ajax, phoenix and Co.

But OSS is also pulling me...being new and all ahah

How would you tackle it? Marut? with 2 links? would you go for the Dakini link? They are soft in CC and being in the middle of the table makes them weaker.

    I think I'm missing something...

dart, nagas, arjuna, danavas with pitcher to create a zone of hacking that will make people think twice before entering there... I think OSSSS has many tools to deal with it!

Yadu are solid. No penalty if you fail the FD roll so get them closer and cover the midfield with their drop bears.

Deployment skills like Infiltration and FD are seriously overlooked in this mission. If you are successful you have an extra order to get out other units. If you fail you are still in marker state (if applicable) and deploy in the normal deployment area. Not a major penalty really

The Arjuna is nice here, it gets 6" of movement for every move-shoot you do. So if you need to clear a path up into the midfield it will do so more efficiently than slower units.

The Ruderas is also BTS6 which doesnt hurt.

Same as with any faction. Whine about it until my opponent picks another mission. ;)

Its actually an interesting mission because its different. It makes you think in a different way. Provoques panic. Which is a change of pace in the usual missions

Actually is quite vialable to take a Yadu Haris and Asura Lt, and use Asura 2 LT orders to move link (including Yadu FD1, NCO HMG) outside biotechvore.

Asura should easily even tank first round of Biotechvore, and start moving out on 2nd or even 3rd turn.

Did that. Had a link of Asura, Yado HMG and Haris Yadu and it was quite effective. Also used a Rudras and it tanked quite a lot.

Rudras and Yadus are evil if you go first. Move up and toss mines in the path of the adversary.

Get a fireteam. You will *need* the order efficiency of one.

Dakinis and arjunas are ridiculously good on the mission too. 6-x move is great, and arjunas have bots that can cause isolated - if you position them right you can force the enemy to spend orders dealing with them before clearing the zone.

Other than that, Yadus and Devas can survive the zone in case you can't clear it in one round with them. Always worth keeping that in mind.

    Lies.
I have never used a fireteam in Biotechvore and I have only ever lost the mission once (first time playing, one of my first games at 300 points, random roll for mission). I've only played Vanilla lists for the mission since.

The Shukra also helps out a lot if you're going first. Counter Intelligence makes using Coordinated Orders as your strategy of getting out of the deployment zone much easier to work with.

I had a tournament las weekend, and one of the missions we had was Biotechvore. This is the list I used:

[IMG] CSU (Specialist Operative) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12)

    5.5 SWC | 300 Points

    Open in Infinity Army

This is a very aggressive list that needs to go first to strike at the enemy at full force, and also has enough orders for almost everything to leave the Biotechvore zone (in fact only the Lamedh and the Bounty Hunter were lost inside the biotechvore zone). This is a list I've used at least two times with success in this mission in particular, although this weekend I ended up loosing because of a Kuang Shi who chain rifled two dakinis just with his last order, and that made me have less army points alive than my opponent... :weary:

EDIT: I forgot to mention, it was a Soldiers of Fortune game, that's why the Yuan Yuan are there.
