If a model with ODD is in a F2F roll against an enemy with a fire weapon (HRL) and wins the roll, do they still lose ODD if the enemy rolls a success?

    HRL shot rolls: 3
    ODD shooting rolls: 1, 4, 5

Obviously the ODD guy doesn’t take an ARO or save, but is he still burnt because the template goes down?

No, by winning the F2F the trooper has avoided being hit by the template and will keep his ODD.

To lose the ODD you have to be affected by that kind of ammo. By winning the F2F roll, even if your oponent does manage to put the template where he wanted, your trooper just won him, so won't be affected by the fire effect.

If there are other troopers in the area however, they have to also win their F2F rolls (or none in this case as it seems the ODD is on his active turn when the template goes down) or be affected by the fire ammo.
