How much/how often are we to expect official rulings on rules questions? Like old palanka given free reign to answer our questions. A more reserved manner, or rather infrequent?
We are still working to address the various rules questions and FAQ, for the moment nothing is set in stone.
for now the warcors are collecting a lot of questions for FAQs and for clarification. If we saw that the new FAQs os the forum answers arent enough we can open the chance to sumbit questions ;)
So basically we should continue discussing things as usual, and if something seems intractable continue to tag you?
I think someone else asked this elsewhere in the rules forum, but I'd like to second it: Would it be possible for a "solved" thread to remain open for a day or two so that people can follow up with questions or clarifications about the ruling?
I prefer the one question per thread method. The very last post in the locked thread should be the answer to the first post's question. Any follow up questions are, essentially, new rules questions that deserve their own thread. Having to sift back and forth through dozens of posts and pages of a thread for with various sub answers to different follow up questions to get to the final answer for the thread's main question is tedious.
As evidenced by one of my most recent posts, the original question is often simply resolved without a need for official clarification, but the follow up discussion can result in situations nowhere near as clear that do actually warrant an official response.
Yes, which is fine. If the original question brings up a few things prior to any official response, the response which locks the thread can encapsulate those as well. I am referring to situations in which the answer in a thread potentially creates new questions or complications. I feel that follow up questions to an official response should have their own thread.
Except when the official response didn't fully cover the discussion, and all that discussion is now locked down...
It's not locked down. Start a new thread, have the specific issue being discussed you feel wasn't covered in the response in the old thread be the main topic of this new thread.
