Our new merc got shown in the newest video Just want to hear what do we think? Will he see a lot of play? Also, is the concept better than whatever you have been using as a proxy so far?
I've been using a fat yuan yuan, because, AD, and I hear he is sorta a hedonist, or at least the guy that lives through him. Concept art pales in comparison because the Fat Yuan Yuan is pretty much the best model ever.
Dude he looks like an edgy Robin - paint him up like Red Hood, especially with the Kali Sticks. I like it.
I was suggesting to use a Crusader with a cape... but never picked one XD (been using Combi Ekdromos). As for play... without a doubt, he has tools for too many jobs. The only difference between StarCo and Vanilla Nomads is the Tomcat, however.
Have already used him in Tunguska with devastating effect - eliminating LT and some orders with dropbears, hotdroping on 16s in favorable position due to seasonal rules. No EM2 action yet, waiting to hit some TAGs or Achiless. Did a conversion of Ayyar to represent him, because it was the closest image to Moon Knight type that I imagined him to be. Final concept looks close enough :)
As to whether he sees play, I really like the link team of him, Perseus and a Stempplr/Securitate with Repeater. Right now he is easily the best bet for Tunguska in Looting and Sabotage. He is a model that will rarely not have a good option in any situation as he is SO versatile.
i have used him only once yet. he ealked on from the side and killed a Friday in cc after shooting a ghazi in the back. Should have put out a drop bear first for shock damahe ahainst the ghazi, but it did not matter much in the end. looking forward to test him further. as for the mini, I used a he'll cat that I have left frm beyond ice storm. I am giving the he'll cat another head or helmet, but otherwise I am gonna stick with that, although it does not resemble the new art work every closely
Raoul is a fucking beast. Recently played a game with him, he dropped in, fluffed his roll, landed where a linked Vet Kazak HMG could see him. took a wound from the ARO, soaked it up, advanced on the team and basically flattened three of them with his boarding shotgun, then killed Voronin in reaction fire. Previously he's come in to personally assassinate a Charontid, walked on the side of the board and murdered a Hac Tao and an entire Yu Jing flank... the AD version is just a stone cold killer. I've not really used him in the Regular MULTI Rifle mode. Anyone got experience of that and making it work?
I tried it as part of a Haris in StarCo. Decidedly meh, although I will say double drop bear in ARO is pretty funny. Don't have enough data to really come down conclusively one way or the other, but I'm certainly not chomping at the bit to put him back on the table in that profile. The AD version, though, as you said, is a beast. If anywhere, the Stempler, Perseus, Raoul Haris out of TJC would be where I'd expect to like him best.
Am I the only one who love the drop bear concept ? If they add a drop bear and base in the blister, I would happily pay 1/2 € more for it
