TACHIMOTOS Spoiler: Rule Some types of Remotes benefit from enhanced connectivity with the ships and orbitals that compose the Cerberus Blockade, increasing their efficiency and performance levels. During Season 14, those Remotes with both the Forward Observer Special Skill and the Repeater piece of Equipment gain the Marksmanship and Tactical Awareness Special Skills and the ECM: Hacker (-3) piece of Equipment with no change in their Cost and SWC. If the Trooper already possesses the ECM: Hacker piece of Equipment, they do not gain the ECM: Hacker (-3) piece of Equipment provided by this rule. In addition, during this season the Traktor Mul Unit gains a new option with Forward Observer and Repeater, so Ariadna can enjoy this extra too. In the same way, this Traktor Mul option is also available to Tohaa and Spiral Corps Page 12, upper right, right beyond the Long Service Rule
It is really, really cool how CB use the ITS seasons as ways to emphasize underplayed elements of the game/troops choices. EVO is a good example: so many good solutions to be found in that tool, but often ignored for more facesmashingdudes. Grant it a crazy-good bonus for a season so people will be drawn in to try the other tools… brilliant. FO-bots are another. Such good toolkits, cheap as chips. Give them sweet-ass extra orders for a season, people will get a chance to try the base unit. (I was already playing Bakunin with linked Pi-Well but ooooooh boy is he about to get uber! Marksmanship Mim -6 Tac Aware -3 to Hackers, in a link with his B 3 gizmokit Engineer gal-pal… Gonna be a lot of action on this little dude soon!). And same praise for the focus on Medium Infantry, Bikes, TAGs in the past. Well done, CB. Well done. This is a great example of providing support to your community through a less permanent medium than core rules.
I agree. I too like how they have given some little used troops a boost at least for a little while. I forgot that ALL bikes now have mimesis. Unfortunately that's only ISS and vanilla with MBH. But still, better than none I think. I love them. However they went up a point because of it. So some enemy FO REM to watch out for are Rafiq Red Fury, Pi-Well, puppet bot FO, Meteor Zond, Unidron FO, Garuda FO (But we have him for ISS!) Sorry as said. It needs to be FO and Repeater REM.
Have to have FO -and- repeater yeah? So Puppets, Unidron, Garuda are out. But those FO-bot Duo or Haris partners for bigger hitters are now going to bring an extra order to the team. Rafiq-Maghriba, Stempler-Hollowman, Gwailo-FObot, etc. And oh yeah forgot about the Meteor until you mentioned it and I already love that thing. Incoming!
