Brawler Proxies

Uprising has the fluff, "Brawlers" is a essentially a slang/catch-all term for your average mercenary thug, freelancer, low-life, or wannabe rather than an official regiment or organisation.

Pretty much any light infantry work, I've been using Fusiliers.

 

I managed to end up with a couple of the limited edition models so I'm using those. I also made a copy of one of their heads using greenstuff and attached it to my spare Rosie (I play CA but not USAriadna) and that's my HRL model. I also picked up the double blisters of Lasiqs for a third rifle and a sniper. They've got sufficiently similar mask/coat outfits that it fits, especially given the number of haqq models in Druze Bayram. (I know you're asking re: Ikari, but...)

 

fusiliers would also make good proxies as the come with the same bs and wip as brawlers.
and they should be easy to get as there is a lot of ice storm with out there

 

I've been using muyibs - they work pretty kit-wise but are missing the sniper (I use the deadshot intruder for that model).

 

i use the new war driver, the uprising brawler, jethro, the combi and MSR bounty hunter, and looking at picking up the muyibs or the HRL at the very least

 

I am using the Al hawwa miniatures. You have the sniper and the hacker/medic/lt

 

I use Major Lune for the sniper, and for the others I use a kanren, scarface and an Irmandinho. They are all diferent enough to make me feel the mercenary nature of them, so I'm pretty happy with them.

 

I use grunts because they fit the look the logo makes me think of

I'm using a big mix of figs. A lot of old YJ figs. 1st ed Zhanshi for Keisotsu for example. For Brawlers so far I have the Ayyar with pistols, Major Luna, Acmon is either a Bounty Hunter or Desparado. I've painted a Haqq bike for him. Also, the old Ko Dali is a Yuan Yuan.

 

I use Kaplan Sniper, old Muyib HRL, Ariadna Intel SpecOps, Locust Hacker as Paramedic, Brawler limited Edition, new Zhanshi Hacker as Hacker.

I like the different looks of the models to show their different background.

 

So far all of this is may favorite thing about Mercs and Ikari in particular. You can do stuff like this! I've even gone as far as, except for my Wu Ming, every figure is painted different too!

 

I use al hawwa

 

Celestial Guard &/or Kaplans would work the best out of those 3.

 

Currently the Ltd Ed Brawler, the Ltd Ed Wardiver, and Major Lunah as MSV2 MSR.

Hanging out for an actual release though :)

 

For the MSV L2 MSR I got my hands on the Intruder Sniper from Beyond Operation Icestorm; the Ariadna Spec-Ops is a good all-around for Doctors, Engineers, Lieutenant and "standard" profiles Of course I got the Uprising Brawler too, and Knauf if I need to double up on MSR

 

Muyibs with a little work are great for Brawlers, just swapped the spitfire out for a MULTI sniper, and added some masks and shoulders.

 

They do fit nicely next to the actual Brawler.
