I'm the only one that thinks that O-12 is missing some bikes? Smoke and flashing lights maybe

There's going to be a Moderator spec-ops for Bakunin mounted on a bike. That's pretty close to what you're suggesting

    Orly?

    Where does this come from?

Or is it just meme speculation?

Absolutely not. I hope we never see any bikes in O-12.

O-12 aren't street cops. And if they were to need something with that sort of speed. They would use a remote.

They have much better means of getting around. I could see units getting mechanized deployment but not bikes.

Yes, you should imagine O-12 as Section-9 from GitS (even if those are translated into JSA in Infinity's universe): they are elites, high-tech geared and deployed for special missions, and if they should have more stuff, it would be things like tachikoma and alike, no "basic" vehicles.

O-12 would have a cyborg on hover bike like that guy in the Star Trek reboot.

They're peacekeepers armed with military grade weapons, not police.

Bureau Aegis don't go on traffic patrol pulling over drunk drivers and people that forget to indicate when changing lanes, they're an armed response and security force.

    Colnbrook knows what's up.

Military peacekeeping forces aren't robocops and Blart the Mall Cop

I think it's dull for the reasons mentioned above.

But CB loves bikes almost as much as they love AD.

Waste of a unit slot. There are other, much better ways to hand out smoke and mobility. I hate that they added another biker unit. It's seems such a terrible fit for Starmada. I'm hoping that it's profile will be terrible or redundant. So I will never need to take it. But I'm concerned the opposite will be true.

CB I'm so dissapointed in you about this. Really wish we could purge like half the bikers we have.

Bikes are just an easy way for them to get Cavalry in their Sci-Fi game short of mounting Grunts on Antipodes (or more likely kazaks). Some of them at least make an amount of sense, and others less so. A cop on a bike was pretty much inevitable for O-12, however the naval sectorial probably isn't the most reasonable place for it.

*nods towards Cutters, Uhlans, etc* they already have cavalry, though :)

I honestly don't think bikes look very visually interesting. It's not the bombastics of a trench coat swirling in the wind, nor is it the confident pose of a towering beast of an S5+, and in a crowded urban setting a heavy HD style bike just looks barely more useful than ClapTrap (see: stairs)

No, bikes are a lazy way for them to pad out weird Silhouette based unit counts and add crap that looks "kewl".

180 years in a future... Knights of Montessa approves to ride motorbikes in covert operations since they are Knights without recreated horses. Also the amazon's queen recreation of Penthasilea inside in Lhost, rides a motorbike in the jungles of Paradiso together with her Steel Phalanx mates... Nomads... they are Nomads put, a drone thing ridding a motorbike on 0 gravitty, because... they are cool. YJ... unique stupid ppl, they don't ride nothing, just made a brutal cyborg turns in to a mechanic cat, that's not cool.... JSA, oh dude... ¡AMAZING MOTORBIKES RIDERS!

And that's its for all motorbikes inside a high tech factions from Human Sphere running wild like a film good/bad heroes on the streets, space and jungles. Except from YJ, bcs they are special ratkids. Its turn for 0-12 ridding the Sphere to glue all of them, and stops this wild traffic over this insane motorbikers.

I love all the bikes in this game... a lot.
    .............................

Here in the 41k millenium from the humankind, our emperor approves to place a huge super humans mutated living in a servoarmour for the rest in their lifes, they carrying the sacred bolter, combat knife and ridding a motorbike inside an insane battlefield against all xenos, you just need to trepass the defenders line, shooting your bolters and smashing corpses with your empowered chainswor blessed by the fate and force on OUR EMPEROR'S WILL.

Mates, its just a new motorbike unit... yeah, inside in a new army box for N4 edition... ¿could be all the motorbikers can be changed in their rules?.... for example, all REM can go prone in C1. Just think about this, ¿Maybe the bikers can go/be dissmounted as free movement, like the prone?...

    GW isn't peddling a special forces-centric experience.

Oh, and by the way their version of that? Kill Team?
Doesn't include bikers or biker adjacent units. :)

The space marines on motor bikes are just as stupid and I hate them too. They almost did get purged, then GW brought them back and added a dumb dune buggy too. -_-

A huge problem i have is CB is unwilling to make dismounted versions of pretty much all there bike units. But then start designing bike units that are can be effective off their bike once they get up the table. Dynamos being a great example.

Every time I try to picture any game as a movie and then I try to fit a guy in a bike just running around like an idiot it always turns into a bargain bin stupid movie.

Also, are we really comparing 40k mood and theme with Infinity's?
