Don't want to 'Like' the idea of using a civvie as a hostage/shield, but it works.

Deactivator has better chances in 8"-16" rangeband only at WIP 15. And breaks even at WIP 14.

But it becomes better if the mine is in cover, since it is only ever affected by the distance MODs, and ignores armor completely.

Don’t forget that it ignores Mimetism as well. Which means that with BS11 (75% to wound) the Deactivator breaks even at WIP12 against a Mine in the open. WIP15 and the +3 range MOD gives a 90% success rate.

...right. Since I've started playing Infinity, not a single opportunity arose for anyone to shoot at a mine, so I've completely forgot they do get Mimetism

They break even at WIP 11, though, since Combi has only 65% to succeed at wounding ARM0.

Does Deactivator work against Deployable Repeaters?

Not that I actually disagree with your statement, there doesn't seem to be anything distinguishing Deployable Weapons and Deployable Equipment.
There's simply the Deployable trait. Unless Deployable Weapons refers to the N3 weapon chart and specifically means those with the Deployable trait but that seems more like an extrapolation, rather than a formal classification.
    I don't know, that's why I was asking.
