Do you say the same thing when people criticize political authorities? "You couldn't win a presidential election. Don't criticize the president." Incidentally, if you do, you're an idiot. Same principle applies here. Do you think GW is beyond criticism since they're so successful?
@Hecaton I’m so tired of you’re arguments. You relate apples to oranges and say they should taste the same because they’re both a fruit. Stop being a fucking idiot.
Hey, I'm just pointing out that @A Mão Esquerda 's a hypocrite. If that bothers you, it's not that I'm an idiot, you just find that uncomfortable. If you can't understand the concept of an analogy, or reductio ad absurdum, go retake 7th grade.
No company is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. I like CB but recent choices have made me go WTF (more PR and somewhat fluff related). Criticism is fine to be voice when it's done politely and constructively. Criticism isn't usually done out of malice. Most just don't want to see a repeat of something in the future they deemed a mistake (more or less reasonable). Really, the constant bashing and the blind fanboyism are the same thing but on different sides. CB is not truly evil but they aren't perfect either. I see we're back to name calling now...
I’ll refrain from calling others names. @Hecaton blows his arguments out of proportion because he doesn’t have the tools to appropriately deal with the situation. I’m tired of his method of distracting from weak arguments to make himself feel smart. Sure it was an analogy, but to debate effectively, the analogy needs to be relevant. He continuously proves the limits of of his capacity to socialize. @Hecaton do you even play infinity? Who can suffer your presence long enough to play a game? Which reminds me, infinity is a game! The fact that you apparently take it so seriously leads me to believe you live a sheltered life, existing in your own little bubble. Go out and learn how the real world works.
Translation: you're frustrated that your positions come out as hypocritical and untenable when they're actually thought about. Do you agree with @A Mão Esquerda that CB is beyond criticism? Ah yes, more insults. Definitely play plenty of the game; just not blinding myself to the times when CB makes mistakes or ways the game could improve. And honestly I don't know how your guys playgroups work, but if someone were like "I think CB screwed this one up." and someone else replied with "You're a fucking idiot," it wouldn't actually earn them too many points.
I have my own ways of conveying criticism, thank you very much. And again, when it comes to trusting in the views of CB or anonymous forumites who repeat ad nauseam that they could do it better with no evidence whatsoever that they can anything of the sort, yeah, you’ll lose every time and twice on Sunday.
I’m not hypocritical. Nor do I feel anyone is beyond criticism. You are just an annoying piece of shit. The only thing that frustrates me, is that you feel like your opinion is so important that we should all read it.
So you must think that GW makes even better decisions, right, since they're more successful than CB? If you don't, you're lying in this statement here.
I never said anything about GW. That’s you again, distracting from your shitty arguments. Once again @Hecaton You make yourself look like a fucking idiot. Kid? What are you? An old ass neckbeard? Probably fat and gross, to match your stupidity.
The questions about GW were directed at someone else, in case you hadn't noticed. And the insults... man, it really bothers you when someone points out that the people who are simple sycophants for CB are trying to act like they have some sort of principle that they're following.
I think CB just really likes stirring the pot. Though, I would think that if they were going to stir the pot this much, I would have thought they would do something more consequential than giving Andromeda an extra order (and she's still not going to see the table in any competitive games). Edit: back to the OP My feelings on this matter are: Tohaa, Neoterra/MO, Corregidor/Starco, JSA/Ikari, Druze/QK and HB players get NOTHING from this. CB might as well have told them to stay home for the season. CA/Sectorials, PanO, YJ/ISS, Ariadna/Sectorials, Aleph/ASS barely got anything since the changes were either to models that are HORRIBLE: you don't want to take them even if they get a free order, or were for like 2 ITS missions: very low stakes, very low reward. Haq and Nomads actually feel like they participated in an event.
@Koni Seriously? I was banned for a fortnight for less. Allegedly. If you don’t ban @oldGregg for these repeated direct attacks with swear words you claim are unacceptable language then it’s clear that my ban was not for the stated reason.
That's a massive downplay. The chance to crit isn't "slightly higher," it's nearly double. He has more than a 1 in 3 chance to crit on any given roll in the active turn.
I agree!!! Anyway in missions like deadly dance or show of force where you need to protect your datatracker I'll find myself more comfortable with a cheap model in a safe and well protected place as a datatracker rather than a tough one. In this way my opponent is forced to invest a lot of resources to hunt down a model who is "only a cheerleader" leaving my strong pieces free to protect and counterattack without the "additional fear" of losing them... Mask
He does, but generally speaking I tend to find that an Active Turn Spitfire on a fast BS 13 profile doesn't really lose ftf rolls the vast majority of the time anyway, just because of the superiority of Burst etc. And for that points and SWC cost, I'd absolutely be hoping that was the case! Put it like this, I've never faced Tarik and thought "ahhh fuck" because of Fatality L2, and I've never really struggled to deal with him either. Not any more or less than I'd expect for an expensive fast assault piece anyway. Please don't think I think Tarik is bad, he totally isn't, he's just not such a nightmare that as an LT and Datatracker, I'd be super concerned about those extra orders he has. Especially as that makes him even more of a priority target.
:looks at discussion, looks at topic, looks at discussion: Man I should have checked back sooner....I mean I think this is neat...and its only temporary. Kusanagi and Tarik unfortunately are really only the models that benefit much from this. Tarik mostly though as Kusanagi will be in a link. Tarik played properly is an absolute pain to dislodge, especially if you super jump him on a building and go prone. Hes not NEARLY as bad as Achilles, Kusanagi on her own, Ajax, or other similiarly priced models mostly because hes only arm 3, 2 wounds, and no optical mods, but his agility and ability to get places is whats great about him. Hes an active turn monster. Just...hide him in inactive turn.
