NCA is a very werid sectorial. It does well not because the sectorial does anything special but because it includes some of the best Pano units, Swiss/Aquila Guards + Auxilia + Hexa. Most of what you can do in NCA you can do in generic Pano.

That's the main problem for a "elite" sectorial... Indeed...

The thing I like about NCA is that it takes the "dead weight" units that you need to generate Orders and gives them a purpose. The result is that you have redundant layers of what PanO does best: gunfight. So while a typical Vanilla list might have Fusiliers and Fugazi that stand around, hiding from all threats and not doing much, NCA makes them useful. You link those Fusiliers for gunfighting murder. You use those Fugazi, because you probably have a KHD and an AHD in your list. So rather than relying on 3 or 4 units in Vanilla, while the rest of your list stands around, you get to to actually put all your models to work in a way that's useful. There are no dead points.

One of the things I miss in MO are AVA 3 Fugazi. Together with Pathfinder and when using Coordinated Order they're awesome Anti-Camo squad and Repeater nets.

NCAs only problem is the relatively littl weigth of their link teams. Fusiliers are good, but are only standard infantry. Bolts require rebalancing in my opinion. And they would be awesome when optimized for CQB and contesting the middle, and ability to include Pathfinder, Fugazi or Mulebot for support.

Bolts need a 2 or 3 point cost reduction and to add the drop bears to the paramedic profile so we don't have to choose between specialists or drop bears.

You cannot do Fusi core with AVA3 Fugazi in Vanilla (with Hexa KHD+MSR+Spitfire).

And bit weird (but so much needed) Fusilier option.

Yeah I love those AVA3 Fugazi. It's probably not an accident that the only forms of PanO I really play all have AVA3 Fugazi in them. In terms of playstyle, theme, aesthetics, I love having them on the table.

Makes me wonder if Varuna will continue the trend! Probably not, but it would be a nice bit of continuity for me since I know I'll be playing Varuna too.

On the topic of Varuna, I don't know if we'll see REMs linkable with Fusiliers or Kamau (Fusiliers are too cheap, would make that a no-brainer option, while Kamau don't really fit the fluff theme since we don't have any aquatic REMs to run with them.) Maybe a linkable REM option for Echo Bravos?

Actually, looking back at 2014 when bolts first came out, wow. I forgot that bolts already got a price reduction with N3. And they still do too little for their cost.
