Both sound like good ideas. I have a set of D20's that I could use to roll for dice results. So I might not need to use an online dice roller.
Good to go. I’m happy with including OOC information in the IC thread with a different colour/ inside spoilers as per the existing PBP RPG rather than having 2 separate threads? But either works.
And when I'm sure that EVERYTHING is going "According To Plan" there are "Unexpected Setbacks" (namely My Brother, His wife and their two lovely little Daughters coming at surprise at Dinnertime; I expected them for the 1st of May, but unclement bad weather forced them to cut short an Holiday two days in advance). . .!! And then some other FURTHER Graphic Work is given scrambled Deadlines. . . . .!!! Perhaps is better for Me to NOT do "Post Forecastings" but rather simply put things on threads whenever they are ready (as not to "Tempt Bad Luck" and invite "Fate's Retribution ). . .!! Still solving some issues of formatting Maps and Images in the right size, to be then put there in the correct context. . . Working on getting all stuff done as quick as possible, but BETTER not do uncautious optimism. . .!! @Golem2God The issue with Dice Rollers is that they allow to post the Results as Linked Scripts; it is very often employed in Play-By-Post to ensure that EQUANIMITY is done by ALL the Players and ESPECIALLY the Gamemasters. . . Some Players prefer to leave the G.M. to Roll on their Skills, but this make QUITE OBVIOUS even more the need of trusted, certified and verified "Virtual Dice Results". . . Also the "Momentum / Infinity Points / Heat" kind of "Pool Mechanics" allow a lot more control on the Game than the mere vagaries of Chance. . . I'm also a "Roleplay Reward" kind of Gamemaster; even a devastating failure could be mitigated SOMEHOW by a careful description of HOW a Player Character will "Soak Up" the losses, with an attention to details, present N.P.C. and situational awareness (much like the FATE System where a "Critical Failure" could be Roleplayed as a "Success at very dire personal costs"). . . . . . . . @inane.imp I'm thinking if is needed to "Port" a Mechanical Result on the In-Character Thread could be taken example by @Solodice extant Campaign, with "Standard Black" employed for descriptions and actions, "Olive Green / Dark Green" for Inserted Rolls and "P.C.-To-G.M." direct questions and "Blue / Teal Blue" for "Comlog Shared Secure Network Comms". . . I will daresay to add that maybe a "Deep, Dark Red" could be employed by the Player Character when DIRECTLY speaking to another "In-Game Universe" Character (other P.C. or N.P.C.) and MAYBE a "Azure Cyan" when is the Character's Personal Geist to speak (especially in "Shared Mind-Link"). . .
Yeah something like that is what I'm thinking of. My only issue is that Tapatalk doesn't play nicely with colours, so my first cut response in rapid fire conversations may be a little ugly and need to be 'fixed in post'. :)
Nope, nothing missing, Just Me coping with unexpected "Extended Family Shitness" and general R.W. Issues. . .
Lol you caught it before I edited. I was mistaking your and Golem's characters. Although you did grow up on the ground... I suppose humanity takes all sorts though. [emoji14]
Nah just not a spacer. Spoiler I'm beginning to realise that my character is a Nomad patriot / has what are essentially "racist" tendencies against planetary cultures. Not against any of you, you understand. You're all good people, but you gotta admit that the 'average' gound-born just doesn't get it. /classic-doublethink
I'm basically just channeling grouchy NCO with poor interpersonal skills. I think it fits the Corregidorian culture as well: competence and work ethic is king. That building into an attitude that anybody who's not from Corregidor/a similar environment is probably incompetent, because they weren't raised in an environment that was actively trying to kill them.* I'd actually expect a similar attitude in an Ariadnan frontiersman towards the average PanO citizen. * And yeah 'but Ariadna / Paradiso' is probably a logical answer: but emotions > logic.
