Ever since the debate on Marksmanship LX, this has been nagging me.

Suppression clearly state in the red box that only weapons with Burst 3 or higher may be used - does Nimbus Zones (that is, Saturation Zones) reduce some weapons burst to disallow Suppressive Fire state from being used when shooting through them?

As far as I understand it, no, they do not.

To make myself a "short mental map" of how nimbus acts, I do the following steps:
    1) "departing" burst assigns target(s). While AROing, this means "all burst go to that", since Burst cannot be split on ARO.
    2) Burst "crosses" the nimbus zone, and you have to substract 1 from each assigned target, to a minimun of 1 (so it never goes to 0).
    3) "receiving" burst gets resolved, rolling the remaining BS dices.

So in this case, your model declares to be AROing with Suprresive Fire to target A, and fires 3 bullets. Of those, one "banishes" inside the Nimbus zone, so only 2 can reach the target, meaning you roll 2 dice, and your enemy has to roll his burst -1 (for a minimun of 1).

Also, if you check in http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Suppressive_Fire the requirements for Suprresive Fire are to carry a weapon able to "do" supressive fire, with the effects allowing to acquire the Suppresive Fire State, where no requirements are listed, only effects.

    Cutting down for space.

That's what I've been taking it to be as well, but the answers to Marksmanship LX are not consistent with this.

It would be useful if you were to post here those answers, or at least reference the sources. As far as I know, what happens is: you pick your weapon and declare MMX, so your burst goes from whatever to 1, and then you fire (with a +6 and, if you don't have MSV aswell, q -3 from the nimbus), a single bullet that won't get further reduced by the Nimbus.
Then again, I can't remember a single time I ever used MMX, even with Teucer not being uncommon in my lists.

Marksmanship LX states that you need enough Burst after applying MODs.

Suppressive Fire is talking about the Burst value before MODs because it mentions Weapons with B2 not being valid even if something increases them to B3.

Might be one of few cases where the rules are overly specific, but wouldn't it suffice with just stating that the weapon's fire mode must have the suppressive fire trait (that it also states)?
I mean, that's sort of rhetorical since I know that's exactly where my confusion comes from - why even write that if there are no MODs that changes the situation?

Ok, found a discrepancy between spanish an english rules. I have checked the spanish rulebook to confirm it says the same in the wiki (it does):
    Spanish:
In short, the relevant bullet point is requirements #2. In spanish, translated literally, it says:
*It is mandatory to use a BS weapon with a B value (be it on profile or Modified) of 2 or more.

In english, that same bullet point says:
To me it reads that you can, in fact, use MMX across a Nimbus zone if you follow the spanish rules (since the rule says "on profile" or "Modified") and you cannot if you follow the english rules.
