well. mostly GW's boardgames i played.

Warhammer Quest series are my favorite. I played Shadow over the Hammerhal with my gaming club guys.

worth to play if you like role-playing games. easy to play than TRPGs, but feels like TRPGs.

If you like thematic games, Arkham/Eldritch games (Lovecraft-inspired), like "Mansions of Madness, 2nd Edition" are awesome. The basic games are not very expensive, and you can buy dozens of expansions to keep adding content. Really inmersive.

If you are a pure Eurogamer, I think that "Terraforming Mars" is still liked and played a lot.

For something in between, "Scythe" is one of the best boardgames out there (and one of the best looking board games ever made), and gives you lots of choices during the game because you have to combine several strategies to achieve victory.

Other great boardgames out there are "7 Wonders", "Pandemic" (lots of variations of this game) and never-dying classics like Carcassone.

Kingdom Death: Monster and Tide of Iron are my two most played games. I do enjoy the occasional Catan too.

I've been playing a lot of Clank! recently. Competitive deck-building game where you try to steal things from a dungeon. I'll also echo @Abrilete and say 7 wonders is pretty awesome.

I don't know, those are human beings in that story, and as a species we're pretty good at weird-ass shit like that.

I'm going to go ahead and categorize it as "Easily could have happened." in my mind.

Tons of fun with the simple Time's Up.
Kinda got a method with Citadels (card game)
    Guillotine was very fun
Saganami Island Tactical Simulator was a nightmare, but I'm a proud backer of the AVID assistant program for both computer browser and Android app (kinda needed to not get crazy with the marking of positions for the ships... think simultaneous turns with inertia in space combat, and a system to orient the ships in hexagons at 45º and 60º intervals of vertical, lateral or horizontal inclinations...).
Had a hard laugh with Junta, but you can only get that one by Print & Play.

Oh, and ye olde Carcassonne. Kinda love that one.

If you wanna go kill time on an epic scale try Twilight Imperium 3th Edition.
Played it with 6 players and took 8+ hours till the store was closed and the game not finished.
Once in a year game :joy:

Want a 4-8 player game involving secret roles, elimination style combat, two dozen characters, fast paced play, reactions on other player's turns and shifting global rule modifiers with nothing more than a couple decks of cards to make it all happen? I definitely recommend Danmaku!!

As a fan of the video game series it's based on I ordered the game on a lark. After trying it and showcasing it to three separate boardgame groups I play with, it quickly became a favorite in each group.

If you don't feel like spending money on ordering the official set with all the fancy card art submitted by a number of independent artists or just feel like giving it a go first, their website has printable PDFs of all the cards with some basic art. They have a Tabletop simulator module as well.

Thanks for reminding me that it exists. I need to get it at some point, but this is the one case with Touhou where shipping kills it for me :joy:

I really enjoy playing Hyperborea, Bloodrage, Catan and Super dungeon explore.

Looking at buying into Gloomhaven and Into Darkness.

I run a boardgames group in Sydney Australia.

Local group just bought into Rising Sun.

6 players get to fight for control of mythic Japan. I was second-to-last, with like 5 total VPs until the end of the game, then I ended up closing in to about 20 points behind second place. Pray to the Gods for bonuses, hire monsters to fight for you, etc.

No dice involved, winner has the most force in the area. Ties go to the person with higher honor.
