Chill out a bit. This whole argument started over me 'not understanding why CB said no one uses the profile as I did in most lists.' I am fine with the split. I can deal. Those few points do end my favorite list that after years I still roll out from time to time as they are my finely honned team, but change is okay. I also ran a Domaru from time to time as they are just fun, so much fun. I will find new great lists. Also like I said before I liked the multicultural vibe of Yu-Jing so it was cool to have a few Japanese units plus some monks that were not Chinese in my lists. I will not stop loving my minis because I will hardly ever use them as what they are. They will get proxyed as their Zanshii equivalents. I never complained about it in the first place. Just said I used them and will miss them (as personalities I built up. Obviously should have been clearer on that point) Can a man not enjoy a little melon collie of good times past without being called angry and butt hurt.
Unfortunately there has a been a lot of very angry people, so the whole issue has become an absolute scab that everyone is picking at and then freaking out when it gets picked at.
Well considering they haven't given us a better insight into the actual data it's hard to interpret, especially when CB seems to want to just plug their ears and shout, "Lalala not listening!" to any kind of negative feedback. From what was seen, it could be reasonably interpreted that several JSA profiles were commonly used (ie, approximately every other player (maybe, I can't remember the exact breakdown from the other thread) used them in at least one list assuming a two-list ITS). Raiden, Oniwaban, Keisotsu, Tokusetsu were all often used; and there were plenty that were used more than other Yu Jing profiles in vanilla. The notion that 'people didn't use them' was pretty clearly bullshit. Maybe not lying, per se, but definitely not telling the whole truth: people bought those models, people played vanilla; it stands to reason that that they get used, especially when CB supposedly gathered data from all saved lists (and, again, without further information about how they filtered it, it's hard to pin down) it's quite clear that there'd be plenty of times JSA profiles were used and well beyond merely the most optimised. And that still is a ridiculous notion: "We're going to strip out JSA because they're only used for optimisation!" If that was a driving factor, then that is both incredibly dumb as well as insulting to those players who enjoyed using their JSA in vanilla (ie, spent their money to do so). Maybe min-maxers aren't too put out by the changes, but the method of change massively fucked the internals of Yu Jing (that's not saying that JSA was necessarily super vital, but the faction's identity is hit hugely, as well as having a vastly reduced (approximately 25%) selection to actually play with. You're right that they can't hit undo. There is, however, a lot that they can (well, should have) done to make the changes fit better, particularly for the sakes of the players (ie, their paying customers), such as simply increasing AVA on other units to give vanilla more room while waiting for new profiles to fill the gaps. Or, y'know, actually having prepared for the schism by having shit ready.
It doesn't help that we're being policed by other players. No one's allowed to be upset! Edit: Somewhat ironically, those like Alphz have attempted to shut down dissent and just made it worse. I wonder what that reminds me of ...
Except none of the things described are new, on either side of the equation. The description of the situation in N3:HS show horrible people on both sides, the Tatenokai, the Kempeitai, the ISS. The destruction of the Triads, the assassinations, the murders, the extermination of the Golden Dagger. The situation fits exactly how both services have been portrayed so far.
Was not aware. It is good to look at everyones posts in a fresh way. Or you just add the negativity from your past conversations into a new thread. (I was totally oblivious to any outrage over this issue) We all fail at this from time to time. So let's get back onto "the future of Yu-Jing" and let sleeping dogs lay.
One thing that is really irritating about the new treason campaign is it sets us up for another fluff loss. No one is going to say 'I want my victory to go to help Yu-Jing genocide" so most points will go to JSA from out of faction. Secondly, I for one do not even want to play it because I would just be an endorsement for the direction and I do not like playing bad guys. It would just make that my infinity identify. I think lots of us feel the same so this is going to be another Yu-Jing fluff slam. Should be fluffed as troops had no stomach for genocide and refused to butcher civilians. But that's not going to happen.
It hurts that a lot of the other fluff is in question or just gone. I thought I knew what I was getting into, but clearly I was wrong. This also ignores that a lot of the JSA sculpts just plain looked better. The Toku, Yuriko, and Keisotsu were way better sculpts than Gongchen and pre Red Veil Zhanshi.
Sorry mate, your initial sentence came off as a bit confrontational. It largely does suck, I can fully get why you would have appreciated having some JSA in your list. When you look at stats to determine how big a blow a change will be, theres always going to be people affected unless that number reads 0. It was the same with Exrah, but I can see the logic CB followed there. Hopefully you can keep using the minis and enjoying painting them. Be upset all you like. I take umbrage with people thinking that being upset suddenly gave them the third eye and they now see clearly how CB operates. and bonus points, think that being upset gives them a free pass to be insulting about it. You want to fly in and accuse bostria of being a liar or somehow trying to be malicious, you're right I'm going to call you out on that. Its called decency and restraint. We've all been upset before and I know when I've said some dumb stuff while upset I've appreciated a community that calls me out on it.
I personally won't be using the optional treason ITS. As I don't like how that fluff is going. That said, CB seems to be emphaising they Yuanduan a lot. I'm curious if how ruthless they are is being emphasised for a very particular reason, and why its attributed to a single division so much.
Stop, how jsa can take over kuramori if o-12 make them n2 country, and wars in human sphear is forbiden?
Eh, basically I've been right in every prediction since the first ENOUGH teaser, and had a great vantage to watch Goalposts march further and further back. At what point does the benefit of the doubt pass to us? March fucking 7. Do you remember a few weeks ago when we were still being told that the fluff was complex and nuanced, and we should wait for the book? At least Storm has the grace to bow out of this discussion.
We're talking about O-12, here. If it's hypocrites all the way down... then YJ is just as black-hearted as everyone else.
