Bolts are great. PanO players can justifiably whinge about a few things but Bolts are great, and have been all N3.
Interpreting this as "PanO is underpowered or gets less love from the design team" is just a mistake, and I know that's what you're trying to imply here. PanO won the last Interplanetario, but it's not generally thought of as overpowered, so we know its *external* balance is fine. And the internal balance is much better than, say, Tohaa. So I think that means the faction is in a real good place, mechanically. Now, obviously, fluff-wise it's the worst faction imaginable and all PanO players should feel ashamed for playing it, but I'm talking pure mechanics here /s

People seem to win with Pano quite a lot. I'm not going to bother bringing up all the major tournaments but I'm fairly certain Pano feature in the top 5 their fair share. Either that means; 1. PanO players are just better players 2. PanO isn't actually as crap as people on this forum might make them out to be I know which one I think is more likely.
If you've got another argument to make, YOU make it. I'm not making your own arguments for your lazy arse. That might well be true. But I've never made any claim about PanO's success rate. Just pointed out that there aren't any "broken up" units in PanOceania.
FWIW, I read it more like he's saying it's a little bit homogeneous because everything is balanced exactly to the same point of "just a tiny bit better than average" and nothing is a stand out crazy option.
it is also possible that the competitive seen is so relaxed/unformed that it is allowing most jank lists to have a good chance to win, coupled with PanO having more players would equal PanO winning most tournaments.
Ariadna's meta would not change significantly, and its HI are, at most, dogged immune to shock 1W... but hackable nevertheless... they would be more grateful by getting extra Autocannons if such change were to be applied. Infinity syndrome: a troop is great, but is left on the benches because there are more interesting options (namely a bunch of fusiliers to fuel a TAG instead of a Bolts fireteam, most of the time). Back onto topic, the banned characters left me with a "meh, no change at all" aside from Tarik (but I have Saladin, and I was focusing on QK, so...).
Nah Id run the heck out of Greys at 24 pts for hte AP HMG, just spam em and murder everything, and 15 for the T2 BS would be insane. Thats before you even get to the Blackjacks and mormaers
Still, less AVA than other 2W HI... specially YJ with his fuckton of options. Granted, a lot of the most juicy HI are actually on the 50+ points cost, but... Anyway, combine this and the 0SWC hackers... "Armored ops" ftw XD
