At least it's a new guy, Wu Ming, Brigada and Riot Grrls are worst played on their home factions now.
Grrls are about 50/50. There's certainly some things that you can still only do with them in Bak. But given that Grrls are pretty much the only reason to be playing Bakunin right now...
Wu Ming are just as good in ISS IMO, and have better support. Same with Riots, Emily is more a weak link, and Avicenna is the same and barely costs less. The five Girl link has five good profiles and no chaff, I'd always run them like that, and again I feel that BJC gives better support. Brigada are probably better in StarCo, yes. This doesn't hugely concern me mind, as StarCo is basically the Nomad 2.5 Sectoral.
Maybe the faction isn't better but Wu Ming have more flexible link choices in Ikari. The unit itself is better.
Nah, because chances are you still have a ML Grrl in LOF of everything, so if Avi was linked you'd cause an ARO. Avi out of the link also gets Bots which allows you to cover more table. There's as much Pro as Con in having her in the link. Honestly, I'd have much preferred to see a mixed MB+Grrls link of 1-3 MB + 1-3 Grrls. Would have been a better link than either of the base ones, but would also have been truly unique without stepping on their sectorials toes.
Linked doctors are more useful for a mobile link, which should probably be the way Grrls are designed.
Yes, this combined with Emily (a really solid WIP 14 specialist) defecting to Nomads will be good trash talk fodder. Brigadas are pretty lackluster on their own. Any change up was likely going to help. Adding Massacre helps a lot.
Ahahahahahahah. Yeah, about that. If anything they're likely to be even more static in Starco in my meta: they'll likely lose their Spitfire to make room for Emily. With Avi hanging out nearby as a replacement for Emily or to allow a Core + Haris split.
You can link the Zhanying with Wu Ming in ISS right? I'd say that makes them just as good, Zhanying are very strong IMO. Gives you a potential Sensor and Madtraps, which does a lot to protect the team from Skirmishers, Warbands and such.
That's a really expensive static link. The Algs + Emily makes for a much better static link, imo. Emily does a lot more for Algs then she does for Grrls. I'd much rather use the Grrls in a Haris with Avi.
It's 1SWC and 1pt cheaper than the Bakunin build with a defensive Grrls link. Defensive Grrls link is the gold-standard defensive link in my Meta. There's very little in the game that's as hard to shift.
Metas are strange things. I feel a static Grrl link would be punished hard locally with smoke and White Noise. I will say though, that I am a crap Bakunin player, and that there isn't anyone around here that runs BJC on a regular basis. Still, as a vanilla Nomads player, when I see an MSV ARO piece, particularly one that is hackable, I always smile inside. EDIT: I am not at all saying that Grrls make a bad link, just that I see them as a "get things done" link rather than a static firebase. They are flexible enough to do both, but they can only do one at a time, and there are other options in StarCo for the firebase.
The mixed MB and Grrls would be great! I know my Grrls would love to have template weapons and a hardy LT... I'm not sure how I feel about Avi+Haris+ML Riot. Avi is pretty much forced to hide, whereas a Riot can still contribute to the team directly with her Blitzen. Against HI links (prevalent in my meta) weight of fire is a key deterrent. Also, that Haris is in direct competition with a Brawler Harris, and Jag for smoke, for less points and greater utility. As for Emily... Well, I love that profile. She's a fucking beast. She fits so nicely into both the Grrl and Alg links. It's surprising to see no one has mentioned this, but it's a huge boon to have a non-hackable member in a HI link. She has the freedom to go gun down repeaters/remarkers/and hackers. Honestly, it's exciting to see CB create a list with so many viable links! I'm really impressed. And I like the lack of board control, inferior hacking utility, and weight on AD over camo. StarCo feels very unique.
Maybe it's because I come from Corregidor and Qapu but they feel like they have quite a bit of Camo to me.
Yeah I feel there is plenty of camo. I know that for me running 2 bandits and an Alhawwa will be a pretty regular inclusion. And the Alhawwa with AHD combined with AD Spector will be some of my Anti TAG focus
There's plenty of camo options but 2/3 are irregular and the third is AVA 1. You could easily find yourself with 2-3 camo markers but I do think there's a kind of inherent restriction there. Which is fine, they have some great options too. Two HI links, LI link, HI Haris, LI Haris...
I love pretty much all the Camo stuff except for Guilang they took all my favs and put them on one faction.
Correct. He stands by the sniper and throws smoke at his feet to cover them in the reactive turn. Returning fire thru No-LoF is still a -6BS unless you have Sixth Sense.
