In all of interesting stuff in infinity, there is one that was regarded as one of the "chick magnets" that draws many players into this game: our beloved mini-Battlesuit, TAGs!

So what your opinion about this metal golems? What makes you love them? Tell me what your favourite TAG class (S6, S7, S8), your favourite chassis, everything!

For me personally, i am always a fan of Shirow's works, so this machines are one of several reasons i take this game in a pinch.

But particularly, i'm more inclined into the light S6 class TAGs. Its because, aside from their overall practicality and compactness, they also the closest ones to the original conception of Shirow's Landmates, light, compact, but still pack alot of punch! S7s are feel a lil'bit missing-the-point imo, and i'm not a big fan of Ex Machina in the first place (i believe most of S7 TAGs are based on its buffed up Landmates). But thats just me...

There's also goes without saying, that Geckos are my 1st favourite chassis, with Stingray 3s come in the close 2nd. Their fluff is cool (bunch of trigger happy veterans with anger management issues? Whats not to love?), and they're basically Guges, in space!

Well thats it about me, how about you guys?

    1. My Favourite chasis is o course the Guijia. It's as solid as a Bipedal tank should be
    2. The maggariba is so unique that shines over most of the rest
    3. The Marut Sexyest Traditional Sculpt TAG
    4. Szalamandra (Although I don't like the flamethrower or the weapon-swap system)
    5. Seraph
    6. The new EC avatar and it's mini counterparts (Xeodrons)

I will eventually get a Maghariba, if only for the threat to be used as a proverbial candelabrum, if you know what I mean. Being S8 Corvus Belli mini surely enables that.

I've only proxied a Marut, because the Gorgos is... well, the Gorgos.

But my favourite TAG is the Xeodron: when you look at the pictures, TAGs look like they are massive pieces, but on the table, next to the rest of infantry models, you realize they aren't that big. First time I saw the Xeodron I was like "Ooooh, it's so cuuuute".

Design wise, i like the marut, the new szalamandra (the old was ugly), the o-yoroi.

As for concepts, i prefer the light S6 tag. Fast and powerful wonders. I like the o-yoroi too, the martial art + point defense on a big murder machine is quite unusual.

I think the best compromise between Appleseed and the new times are the Geckos, which I would love to get my hands on (too many open fronts right now, I'm arfraid), and then I love the Maghariba.
Then, the Tag I love more to see on the table is the Marut, paired with my modded Giraldez's Juana as Mym Officer ^^

I like a lot of the TAG models. The Stingray TAGs, Guijia, Maggy, Szalamandra, Avatar, Xeo/Overdrons are my favourites. Rules wise I tend to prefer the S6 mini TAGs. Id love to see resculpts for the O-Yoroi, Lizard, Raicho and Sphinx, and Marut but I appreciate some of these are pretty unlikely.

Agreed, they are soo small, you can cram them into a Bradley and called it a day:tearsofjoy:.
People are always overestimating TAG sizes, dunno why. They're not bloody Gundams for god sake.

And i'm also a fan of those tripple 'drons too, i've seen them in action and they're awesome. Those hook-thingies are a little bit silly thought.

Yes, they all need that love pretty bad (except for sphinx, he's already cool), especially O-yoroi. Man, her proportion are artrocious. I wonder how the hell can the pilot fit inside her in the first place...

In terms of raw playability, I like putting the Stingrays on the table. Both the Tikbalang and Uhlan have made appearances in my ITS lists last season (and I've done well with them too!)

I was very happy to win an Eduardo Tikbalang, and I love fielding that fun alt-sculpt.

I'm looking ahead to Varuna, and running the Cutter in a Sectorial list. It's all I've ever wanted...

I wonder if Varuna will get some "light" TAG (in terms of points) and how could it look like.

Also please do something about Seraph Auxbot CB.... ;(

    I'd like that a lot.

Varuna has some great HMG platforms on their infantry,so maybe either anti-armor or short range focus? Maybe Helots, the new ORC character or Echo Bravos will take care of the short range focus.

I won't hold my breath for dual SMGs and a full-auto Fuerbach :D

Obviously, we are talking about PanO in the end ;D
Well doing now review of Hospitaller gave me full glipse and realization how "bad" ORCs are right now ;/ (hospitaller link is cheaper/better and have amazing option of cheap link fillers/decent CC or ML, oh and usefull specialist who does not compromise the link itself !)

Yes, it's easy to be jealous of Hospitallers/Magisters. The thing I like most about them isn't even the amazing HMG and MULTI rifle platforms (PanO has a lot of those) but instead the ability to use shotguns, close combat, and hyper dynamics with Magisters. Those are such fun, distinct, non-PanO play elements.

One TAG I really like is the Sphinx, by the way. The double templates and Spitfire, plus that extreme mobility, give it a very fun short-range focus. I wouldn't mind seeing more TAGs like this (they don't need anything as extreme as TO Camo...)

    Geckos every day.

I really like the Gorgos. I wish a Sphere faction had a Bio-Armor TAG.

I wish the Batroid TAGs had some special ability to encompass the fact that they're more oversized remotes than TAGs.

Actually giving them REM type would be a straight upgrade. It's weird; other factions have high-Silhouette REMs with destructive weaponry, or Remote Presence HI, but apparently the Batroid TAGs managed to sidestep all that into the mechanically weakest troop type in the game (TAG).

Looks-wise, I love the Geckos, Xeodrons, Cutter and O-Yoiroi. Iguana's pretty cool looking too.

Play-wise, Scarface, Overdron, and O-Yoiroi. Scarface because he's so cheap that he's practically throw-away, Overdron because tinbots and S6, and O-Yoiroi because it's JSA's only access to a BS 14 machine gun. But the crazy koalas and Martial Arts also help defend it from a TAG's natural predators.
