Hence the sarcasm. I dunno if I think that Xeos are fine, though. How many Onyx lists do they really make it into compared to say, Unidrons?
I don't tend to take Xeos as much as I take Overdrons but I do use them frequently, especially when playing Onyx, that Blitzen is often more useful than a HMC
That is not really a good comparison, since Unidrons are cheap support troopers and Xeodrons are assault pieces - completely different utilisation and class of troopers. Maybe you could compare frequency of Unidron links vs Xeodrons but even that is iffy in my opinion. Better comparison would be vs Samaritans, Sphinx, Overdrons.
I run the Samaritan and Sphinx both way more than either Batroid tag. Other people finding they play different?
Yep. About a third of my Onyx lists include a Xeodron or Overdron, although that's gone way down to reach that level.
I'd like to see expansion of the 'hunters' aspect of the MAF, like maybe an oznat-style unit that's g-synced to some big animal (like the tohaa symbiothingy). edit: wacky idea that's literally just popped into my head, a 'big game hunter' type SK unit that's fireteam:duo, maybe a profile with ADHL and another with a low-B, high-DAM weapon. kind of like the one dude shoots a net to bring down a big animal and the other puts the bullet in it's melon. daturazi-ish stats (good ph, but low ARM/BTS), but perhaps without the crazy-good CC setup
I would like to see the Raicho get updated, the rules not the model. If anything in CA deserved Full Auto it's this guy.
Some combination of Marksmanship, MSV1, decent BS, Mimetism (or even ODD) and Marksman Rifle or MSR loadouts in addtion to ADHL could work for a hunting unit. Probably not all of the stuff at once to keep the cost decent. For me it is rules and model both before I consider playing Raicho.
I want more of the Sygmaa Trihedron. We got only 2 models but man, they look amazing. I need more evil looking CA models. I want my army to look like it came straight from hell. lol
I think his points are to high right now for what you get. I think Full Auto L2 at same points would be about perfect.
I think full auto Raicho makes absolute sense - it's the perfect expression of morat-ness. tough, can't be isolated, stays put and fills the air with deadly projectiles.
Have to disagree - model needs to go. I know it took forever to get it in the first place, but it doesn't even remotely fit the new Morat Aesthetic. I've said it heaps of times already... But I'd love to see the Morats get a shotgun TAG. Possibly even geared for CC as well.
