New Charontid

I caaame.

I really like the new Plasma Rifle, looks hefty like you can whack a bugger with it. Same with the new HMG.

 

I just feel like this Charontid is going to punch Ajax in the face with plasma rifle rather than shoot with it, and I don't like that. Sure, old Charontid is top heavy too, but this just feels too over the top, no pun intended. maybe when we see it painted it won't end up looking like that, but if it still feels like a gorilla then I'll probably stick with my old HMG one. I think that it has the same overly bulky top as the Avatar, and I find it strange, because with Xeo and Overdron I did not had such an issue with their proportions.

 

The more I look at it, the more it looks to me like they picked an Unidron from the waist down and glued it to a shrinked top of a Xeodron, slap a weapon and go -.-

To much Xerox in the CA Aspects now, I liked it better when it was a bunch of cloned bodies from ships found adrift in the dark corners of space...

 

That is literally just the Skiavoros though, who hasn't changed.

 

That one it sounded to me a little like Khan from Star Trek (mindfried due to a lot of time frozen, however), while the Charontid was Alien adapted to serve the EI...

 

it looks better than the old one, the position of the weapon is more comfortable than the previous version

 

I prefer the old design.

 

Sadly they will turn every unique unit to the same shit xeo/overdrone/avatar style.

 

Yeah, thats why I bought the Old Model of the Avatar as soon as the new one was released.

 

I am loving the new look so far but I really want to see it painted.

 

I never would have bought the old Avatar or Charontid. Now i want to play vanilla just so i can use them. love the new sculpts!!!

 

I like it, the old Charontid and Avatar were incredibly goofy looking. I like the similarity of the new models to the xenodrons. It gives some uniformity to CA visual aesthetic.

 

It would be reddish softbelly in black armor, nothing new. Not only sculptors use "ctrl+c, ctrl+v" combo

 

Yeah, but a painted model often looks better than a bright orange render.

 

In general, the new infinity designs for the combined army are better, because they are much more alien / technological. I took the red color and changed it to green and everything was very alien. I hope that everything of the new is in this line.

 

It seems CB is getting the Ur units to look similar in fashion. I think the new Anathemactic will look similar to the Charontid due to the fact that Anna is a larger camoed Charontid.

 

CB, keep your hands away from Anathematics!

 

Tbh the Anathematic doesn't need to change, they just need to make it a bit bigger and add some more details to the relevant body parts. It's showing its age a little but the actual design shouldn't change.
