Heya, I was wondering if it would be possible to link the images we upload to our shared folders in Google Drive directly, so the images can be shown instead of just the link to open them in other windows. It would be a good way of linking heavy photos (>2Mb) and it would also lighten the load on the server's storage system ^^
I guess it's not so much an issue about this forum but more about Google Photos which is quite different to typical oldschool pic hosting.

Does it work ? It seems that when you got the correct link you can use it but !!! - it seems that the pics are converted in the webp format so it may not be usable outside Chrome - if it works, that means that you can share a document without having it shared EDIT : pic with shared access on
Same here, I had to enforce a cache cleaning to notice it. So, pic need to be share at least with the "anyone with the link can access it" Honestly it's just a pain to make it work properly : - right click on the image to access "get shareable link" - open this link in a new tab - right click the image to access "copy image link" - paste it in the post
You can also place the images in a "anyone with the link can see it" folder, so it's a little faster... Then you place the links on here, open them fast with ctrl+click, edit the post to change the links with the "copy image link" and done.
Tried it to but didn't found something as short as your solution. Creating a shared album via Google Photos seems to ease the share, but just creating and updating the album is more effort than it should.
It is really inconsistent, sometimes I see the images, sometimes not... no matter how many times I reload the page. And with Firefox it won't even load a single image -.-
I've had some issues with Google Photos where I share an image, but then the next day the URL has expired and doesn't work anymore. I really miss the Picasa UI.
Yesterday the image worked (in FF, copying the image URL from the viewer page, it was one of your papercraft walls)... now you and me only see IMG and copy-pasting the URL gives 403. It's even faster than FB case, those last some days.
