Did this with my Chimera against an Auxbot and took a hit from an ARO out of the CC as well last night...
Yall bringing out CC horror stories. I once had Al'Djabel engulf a full 5 man link of unidrons in smoke so he could begin to eviscerate like he loves to. I kill 1, then attack the second, go +1 burst instead of +3cc and rolled double 1s to his electric pulse. Legends say that version of him is still frozen in place on some far off battlefield, still waiting for an engineer.
I have 2: 1. Shinobu surprise attacking an Iguana and eating a metal fist directly to her face. The Iguana was painted shortly thereafter 2. A Clockmaker CC D-Charging someone in CC in the last couple movements of the game, blowing his poor victim to smithereens as he looked away from the explosion. Totally ace. D-Charging anyone successfully in CC just feels so nice
Mine is not so horrible, but my Ninja tried to sneak-attack a locust. I had CC 26 (MA 3) and he got -9 (Surprise Attack and MA3) but crtited my Ninja to death... Its was funny but also very sad.
Seriously! When am I going to get my pistol Fraacta? Hacker Hand Fraacta?! Knife Fraacta?!?!?! And then there's the survival form for each loadout! I feel so cheated as a CA player... /cry [/end sarcasm]
And it needs to be stated YET AGAIN. Japs is a racial slur akin to N......er, please don't use it. But yes they are gone, and yet they dont look as bare bones as I thought they would.
Really? What's the shortened term for them then? Because we've got a slang term for damn near every other nation.
I'm just gonna start calling them Nips, for Nippon. It's just as short, and can be as derogatory as you need it to be.
Is it really? Is that something post-WW2? Im asking out of genuine curiosity (ignorant middle european here), since it is literally just a shortened version of their country´s name in practically all western languages. I mean i´ve yet to meet a german guy who would be offended by the term fritz or kraut in a friendly/gaming environment, and to me these terms sound meaner/ more derogatory
It was used as a derogatory term toward Japanese Americans and was strongly associated with the charectures that were used during the war to dehumanize the Japanese. Look up Japanese interment camps to see what Japanese Americans were put through. "Jap" was the equivalent slur to N..er directed at these people.
Very much offensive in some parts of the world, especially post-WWII in the US and in regards to Japanese-Americans (who were forced into American concentration camps during the war) . Much in the same way that British Skinheads turned the 4 letter shortening of "Pakistani" into a slur for all Asian immigrants.
Yeah, it's a result of American war propaganda during WWII. English dictionaries do classify "Jap" as offensive these days, so folks here are correct in calling it out as such.
