We’ve all got our preferred ways of doing things, our playstyle so to speak, this involves favorite models and ways of using them. So what are yours?

Mine is usually simple and straightforward. I hit the enemy hard with Achilles and Patroclus down a flank, and take away their momentum, then follow up grabbing objectives with fast moving daikinis under cover of eclipse smoke and/or White Noise. Simple, yet effective.

I almost never field nagas, as the difference in price to a Dasyu seems trivial. And although I hate how MSV2 is a pain in my backside, I simply prefer paying for TO/ODD instead of their countermeasure - unless it’s in a Marut.

Secret and tricky as Aleph herself. Plenty nagas (only AVA2 :( ), hackers, and nasty drones, with only one or two poster boy/girl from assault subsection (mostly among Penthesilea, Diomedes, Scylla or Machaon)

Achilles with cover of Naga with khd. Objektivgrabbing with Naga MK 1 or MK 5 / Dasyu / Thorkitai.

I like HMG-Zayin AS strong ARO Peace and aditionally a TO-Sniper.

I almost always have a single combat group. Too many high price goodies I want. Unsurprisingly the Posthuman is almost always present, but the proxy bodies I choose vary a lot. With the posthuman I always include 2-3 netrods, which always seem to scatter to right in-front of the enemy.

After that I vary things up depending on what I want to do.

    Double Naga minelayers is fun.

I like to take Penthesilea and Ajax, send one up one side, and the other up the other side. My opponents usually focus on the big scary hammer wielder, and the biker babe gets to go on a killing spree in the backyard.

Atalanta in cover with smoke, is a real nightmare for some people. She once caught a poorly deployed opposing team and wiped out 2/3 of the list by herself.

Machaon is an amazing specialist as many have remarked.

And I know not many people think much of her, but I love to run the Asura hacker up in midfield. Smoke? Camo? She doesn't care. Hacker? Right back at you with Redrum. Buttons? Consider them pushed. The humble combi isn't the most awesome gun, but in the hands of a competent HI it can do some real work. And there is nothing like taking down the opposing players hulking warriors with a slim little girl in spandex. Just make sure you got someone else covering her backside so no one sneaks up on her.

When I play vanilla it's always pure Vedic/Posthuman. Within this boundaries I try to make as flexible list as possible, and I change them a lot. Sometimes it's Marut with support, sometimes a lot of Devas, or an infiltrator-heavy list.

I usually include a lot of hackers and remotes.

I'm one of the rare players who tends to leave Nagas, Dasyus and AD troops in the box... Dakini assault! Myrmdons covering the Asura! strange combos!

Somehow it works because of the swiss-knife nature of Aleph, but the same comes crashing down when I try to do the same with Nomads XD

I have tried a REM list (marut + myrmidon, daikini paramedic, daikini HMG, zayin, danava HD+, proxy mk1 engineer/mk2 hacker/mk5) and I love the feel of robot army it gave.

Regarding standard playstyle, basic list structure wound be :
    1 rambo (Asura/marut/Achilles)
At least 1 secondary offensive piece (daikini/zayin HMG, myrmidon spit, atalanta...)
Proxys specialist (mk1 engineer or doctor, mk5 FO, mk2 hacker)
Nagas (FO/KHD for objectives and/or minelayer if defense is needed)
    Lamedh for orders
If a lieutenant is needed : Machaon, if Achilles is lieutenant : Officer CoC
Complete with some more orders, cheap specialist if possible

Standard tactics is rambo attack turn 1 (because I can and because when you pay a third or fourth of your point for an attack piece, you use it), clean up and positionning turn 2, objectives turn 3.

Vanilla with an OSS lean. I've been slowly working in characters, but other than that not much of a trend.

In Vanilla, I played Ajax as lieutenant several times (with CoC of course). I play him a little bit like Ariadna would play a Antipode. With impetuous and the lieutenant order he has the chance to move up 16 inch the board "for free" per turn. I simply ignore mines and camo markers with him in active turn. Everytime I dodge in reactive turn, I´ll get 4 inch closer to the enemy deployment zone. Your opponent has to spent some resources to stop this monster with effectively 3 Wounds.

Then firesupport by HMG-bot, Posthuman Sniper and Agema.

Also I love Patrocus Spitfire as a shock unit cause he´s fast and not hackable.

Deva MSV2 is my favorite midfield seek-and-destroy unit against infiltrators.

In the end let your Posthumans and Nagas pick up the pieces.

As almost everybody else, fielding 2 Nagas is a staple in my lists. I also always field all 3 Posthuman proxies (mostly MK1 and MK5) and 3 Netrods for cheap orders to fuel those bad boys. And, last but not least, if playing a limited insertion match, my Marut is allways deployed, because who doesn't like a femme fatale, death-dealing robot?

Asura hacker and naga FO (or hacker) for most of the objectives. SF dakini to get in the way of my opponent getting his. Not a lot of orders for killing things; so snipers and zayin to kill them off with their own orders.
Sometimes a garuda to disrupt and keep regular opponents unsure.
Daleth, davanas and/or sophotect to help out.

Don't think dasyus get that much more done than naga (i.e. dasyus are better, but don't think that translates into getting more done), but there are other things to do with the points.

For me, Asura (any profile, I like them all) plus a support squad to let her murderise things.

Usually consists of a mix of:
Garuda, dakinis, posthumans for pushing buttons (although these days I'm torn between doctor/engineer on the MK1), Evo to help the Asura in reactive, TR hmg bots and other cheap remotes for orders.

If it's LI, then the Ava 2 on Asuras gets some fun use.. noone expects the 2nd Asura.

I prefer massive order pools, 15-17. Danavas and dakini hmg are musts. About half my lists are cheerleaders and half are my power pieces. Such as netrods and achilles/myrm officer/ajax/dakini hmg

My lists are generally heavy in remotes but almost all the living people are nwi so engineer > doctor and i love me some myrms as well. Whether it's the spitfire or officer combi, i like them both.

Meanwhile Symbiont Armour costs about 1-2 points.
