Hi all! Khawarijs have Super-Jump (3"). The effect of the 3" is described: > When Jumping, the Trooper can add this distance to their Jump, instead of the usual 2 inches of the Jump Skill. (https://infinitythewiki.com/Super-Jump) But what is added to the Long Skill? > If the user declares Jump as a Long Skill, they can Jump up to their first MOV value plus 4 inches, instead of the usual 2 inches of the Jump Skill. (https://infinitythewiki.com/Super-Jump) From the rules it would be still just 4", I assume. Or would it be 6", assuming they can also jump farther when using a Long Skill, and there is an implicit "double what is added" rule?
To add a question to this exact topic. Shikami also has (+3) to Superjump. If Superjump treats jumping as a short skill and I have a 6” move for my first move value, am I jumping 9” for a short skill then? Played a game yesterday with someone and they thought that I was doing that incorrectly.
You are playing it correctly. 6" + 3" = 9". If they just have base super-jump it would be 6" + 2" = 8".
Correct. Shikami are fast! With of course that downside being that while you are using Super-Jump, you get No Partial Cover. It's at least mitigated by the mim-6 but I wouldn't use it if I don't need to.
I'm now adding a question about how high a super jumper goes. I had a Feiquan super-jump 11 inches. 8"+3". The question is how high he goes because It allowed me to see a missile bot on top of a building. Do I also go as high as 11 inches? 8? Must I go that high? Do I follow the line? If so how the hell are we supposed to measure that? With measuring tape and four arms?
The whole jump, up and down, is 11". To measure that, you can have a 11" bit of string or use a soft tape measure that is usually utilize for dressmaking. Edit: If you just want to have a pop up attack, if you use Super-Jump (Jet propulsion), go up 5.5 inches and 5.5 down. For Regular Superjump, as it must be a parabolic, you are safer going 5 inches up, 1 inch over, 5 inches down.
Thanks. As if we don't have enough tools already to play this game. They really need to simplify this.
