Tja - I like most of the Spec Op models. The Chandra looks very nice but for her I have good proxys (old Chandra SO and PH MK3 - the bot can be a newer Yudbot) - dilemma. Similar for YJ. According to the video the spec up rules are with the spec ball is not what I like. Too much video game style. I hoped for a expirience pts system. The SO haris feels better, depending on the way it actualy works. I am excited to see the campaign and a little bit afraid the it will be half baked. Ionn seems to be a breach maker. BS-3 only work in FtF? I like the models, even if the human form is a bit overpacked with stuff. But I could only play him in JSA/Shinden ... I would like to see him in White Banner.
I’m loving the look of all the spec ops and their little pals. Interesting that CA gets 4 different spec ops. They could have just done the Nexus. CA sells I guess. I’m looking forward to the Stormo O-12 spec op. I’m not sure we have ever seen one for them. I think the chances of them doing a Tohaa spec-op is slim to none even though they get one. Ionn looks like a lot of fun! I wish the JSA got the smoke version though. I don’t understand why they don’t give them much smoke. There are only two expensive characters and a bad BS remote. But I’m mostly looking forward to using him in my O12/Starmada. Him with Hippolyta or Shona is going to be brutal!
CA will have rules for 4 different spec-ops. Bostria said that they are not sure if they will make 4 sets for CA. So we will see, if they make them in the future. We heard from one of the testers on the discord, that team- ops mode is really fun and it helps weak factions to be more competetive. Also from what we saw Spec ops will have like only a few different options to choose from and it will costs points and swc, so it looks to me more balanced than previous version.
I get that story-wise there’s human, shass, morat, and whatever nexus is, but I also can’t help but think it’s just a way to sell more CA. As if they haven’t had enough figures yet lol. Speaking of new figures. Here's the updated new figure release list. Ionn Bann is the first O-12 this year and the first Tohaa in many years! Yeah he's not Tohaa himself but it's still something added to the force! I also think some could do something to make the figure look like a Tohaa bioweapon/creature? That could be pretty cool. Figure Release up to September 2026 Aleph: 8 Release, 18 Figures (K2 Auxiliars, Thamyris, Mazebreaker, Beyond Maze, Ruby Monday, Optimate Maximus, Tarkshyas) CA: 8 Releases, 17 Figures (Alpha Expansion pack, Skyhound, Stingers, Sartroids, Beta Expansion pack, Ruby Monday, Drakios team, Ionn Bann) Nomads: 4 Release, 16 Figures (Riot Grrls, Mazebreaker, Beyond Maze, Ruby Monday, Gecko Squadron) YJ: 7 Releases, 13 Figures (Gui Feng Xi, Kuang Shi, ISS Delta set, Yu Jing Beasthunter, Sun Tze, Ninjas, Taowu) PanO: 3 Release, 6 Figures (Kestrel Expansion Delta, Ruby Monday, Optimate Maximus) Ariadna: 3 Release, 6 Figures (Ariadna Support Pack, SAS, Ionn Bann) JSA: 3 Release, 5 Figures (Ruby Monday, Ninjas, Ionn Bann) NA2: 2 Release, 3 Figures (Ninjas, Taowu) Haqqislam: 1 Release, 1 Figure (Haytham) O-12: 1 Release, 2 Figures (Ionn Bann) Tohaa: 1 Release, 2 Figures (Ionn Bann)
I do not consider Ioann as Tohaa release. I guess it was not intended so, Tohaa here is just along for the ride. Bostria said, ask for that, so I definitely ask. CB, make tohaa back again! Make a figure for the specops (but please keep the faction original visual style, it was really cool as hell). Bring the Errant Fleets to save the day! More viral rifles, bioconstructs, tentacles and pheroware:)
