    Totally Black Panther!

So Aleph is getting 3 new troops and 3 new characters. Nomads get 5 new troops.

I believe that’s a Bultrak head. The Morat tag. Could be wrong but from the angle I saw that’s what I thought it was.

Goonhammer has a spread of Articles about Mazebreaker:
    https://www.goonhammer.com/tabletop-battles-reviews-infinity-n5-operation-mazebreaker

    https://www.goonhammer.com/tabletop...ity-n5-operation-mazebreaker-osss-rules-units

    https://www.goonhammer.com/tabletop...-operation-mazebreaker-corregidor-rules-units

The last one goes into detail about the new units and how Corregidor now has sub-sectoricals (Space and Surface). Theoretically, you could go to a Tournament with Corregidor and have List 1 be Space, and List 2, Surface. These are interesting changes and a different approach.

The aleph part is not bad. I think the asura could be better without the shoulder pads, the mini maruts are cute, and the Shukra if F-ing awesome. BUT, why make a new line infantry? Dakinis still exist. It's gonna happen like with Crosiers and Order Sergeants? (Basically same troop, diferent name)

Nomads are not appealing to my eye... Not a single one. Dodge:+3 ARM is bizarre AF

Ruby Monday is nice, it's like Isobel McGregor had a bad weekend while visiting Bakunin, but i cant use her in any of my armies, so...

With Corregidor having Sub sectorials, i wonder why they didnt applied that treatment to Bakunin last time

I am happy that Corregidor is leaning into flexibility and Medium Infantry. I feel that MI doesn't get the respect it deserves and toolbox and interesting profiles is neat

Not sure how I feel about Divisions. It feels like more complication, but does allow some potential new design space. I will have to see it in practice.

    Edit:

Can we talk about how imbalanced this starter set is? I need to do the calculations, but the Aleph side massively outpoints the Nomads. I can see new players feeling Nomads not standing a chance. Which I guess fits the fluff of scrapy underdogs...

I can't remember where I heard but the Dakini had a name change. Dikpala is not a new troop.

    Yes, that's it.
I didn't recognise it because the painting is not the same and I assumed a red paint was for Nomads.

Fusiliers and Fennec, Keisotsu and Senku... Line units with slight variations and different availability depending of the sectorial/generic army.

I agree about the shoulder pads on the Asura even if they are less jarring than I was fearing after seeing the artwork.

They didn't think of it before maybe?
Also backgroundwise, Bakunin story at the time was more about the Observance intergrating itself deeper in the BJC, so having a single sectorial for that make sens.
For Corregidor, the Surface Division may be born after Nomads got a bit of land on the new planet, so they work differently than other units in the CJC.

Like @Brokenwolf, I currently don't know what to think about this division.
But if it works, I can imagine it be applied to other sectorials (MO with the vairous orders, QK with the space corsairs and the more silk protection focused troops...)

Yes, but at least that variations are in different armies, Crossiers and Sergeants are in the same, and it looks it gonna happen again with Dakinis and "not dakinis"

EDIT: Forget what i said, no Dakinis included in the OperationS sectorial list

Even if they are not in the same sectorial, Fusilier/Fennec, Keisotsu/Senku are in the generic army though.
So it could be possible for the Dikpala to be OSS only and the Dakini to be in generic and ISS.

As usual I get jealous of Nomads but only in comparison to my Yu Jing. They always seem to get something like YJ, but better. The Bearcat is a Liu Xing but maybe better, and I bet he will get more than one figure lol. Admittedly the LX has ECM -6. But the BC has -3 and a KHD that allows him to go into cybermask, and BSG +1B and D-Charges on almost all proifles. I don’t count the LX better CC because it’s a stat almost never used unless you are getting hacked to death by a true CC specialist and somehow wasn’t killed in the first hit. I wasn’t jealous of the Yellowjacket because it’s much more limited in weapons and specialists. But this guy is 5 specialists! Including the spitfire! Anyway, the Nomads are looking good! I'd say they did a great job on all the figures.

It's funny, I've pretty much given up YJ. I was looking at the Bearcat and thinking that it was very much just Louie Touie. But on the other hand, I also really don't care. YJ as a whole has just become a really boring set of factions that suffers from a painfully static list building meta. So, if some factions just comes out with YJ+ stuff... whatever.

I haven't given up on them...yet. I still play them, especially IS. They are not bad but they are not great either. But at least fun. Yes just once I'd like them to give something OP to YJ just for a while. Especially after the the crap that is a Feiqun vs a Redeye or really any other flyer. But whatever. I just won't buy it if it's not worth the money.

The main think i'm hoping for is they DON'T stop coming out with some new figures! I hate when they come out with one of each new troop and then you don't see anything new for years! When was the last time you saw a new Torchlight troop? KCF just got a second Drummer and Fennec so I'm hoping they will give something to Shinden. But it could be just because well... PanO.

Ok time for an update on new release numbers.

Nomads already shot to the top. Of course Aleph right behind. CA we know is going to be getting more. I have no hope for Imperial Service but it would be nice. But I think it has as much chance of something new as JSA or Torchlight getting anything.

Figure Release up to June 2026
    Nomads:
2 Release, 13 Figures (Riot Grrls, Mazebreaker, Beyond Maze)
Aleph: 4 Release, 13 Figures (K2 Auxiliars, Thamyris, Mazebreaker, Beyond Maze)
CA: 4 Releases, 9 Figures (Next Wave Expansion, Skyhound, Stingers, Sartroids)
YJ: 3 Releases, 8 Figures (Gui Feng Xi, Kuang Shi, ISS Delta set)
Ariadna: 2 Release, 4 Figures (Ariadna Support Pack, SAS)
PanO: 1 Release, 3 Figures (Kestrel Expansion Delta)
Special: 2 Releases, 2 Figures (Yu Jing Beasthunter, Ruby Monday)
Haqqislam: 1 Release, 1 Figure (Haytham)

I'm just putting this here for those who think Nomads really needed new figures. Nomads and Combined have had the most new figures for the last 6 years and well on the way on keeping that. True many of those new Nomads were Bakunin and Next Wave. Also last year Nomads didn't get much at all. But still, more than twice of Haqqislam! Is Haqq gong to die off?

2020-2025 Total new figures per faction.
    Combined Army: 92
    Nomads: 89
    O-12: 80
    PanO: 81
    Yu Jing: 64
    Ariadna: 60
    Aleph: 59
    NA2: 52
    Haqqislam: 37
    JSA: 35

Ruby is not Nomads exclusive. She should be under NA2 or special.

Heyo, I've edited your post by removing stuff (not changed anything though). When you say you have "no hope for Imperial Service", didn't they just get a rework of their range down to this years Kuang Shi etc? Or did you mean 'Invincible Army' ?

Nope, I didn't think Nomads or Corregidor needed another release just yet. With the exception of Ruby Monday (a nice win), I'll skip this lot of releases and save some pennies. However, I do like the Shukra model and I'm thinking a headswap with Asura might be good (doubtful it's gonna be cheap to get it split out).

I'm up for more Haqq stuff though, even just another Asawira model!

Thanks. I put her in Special because she's not actually in any NA2 forces even though she's a Mercenary Troop.

No I don't expect any more Imperial Service models to come out even though they just did the re-work. They've put out at least one figure for each new troop. So to them that seems to be enough. As I mentioned, when was the last time you saw a new Torchlight figure? Not counting Firebat which is in all of the O-12. There's still another version of Jamie to come out. There's only one Strider, Yellowjacket, and Waverider. All three are in box sets.
