Hi gang, nice new forum. So I've recently got some corregidor stuff an am looking forward to playing some games with them.

Quick question, I see a lot of lists here are 2 order groups, 2 potential links (jags and alguacils usually) but the 'horde' army mode really detracted from the fun for me, and essentially detracted from 'skirmish'. But back to the point, I am really struggling to make a good LI (limited insertion, not line infantry) 300 point list. I always feel I am missing something. The important thing to not is I am asking as I want to expand my collection in a structured way, so currently have; Corregidor starter, Ice storm starter, an intruder sniper and a tomcat.

My next pucrhase is torn between MB boxed set, Jags, or go straight for the Iguana/ Geckos. (Sooooo many lush models), and a viable list to use them with.

Barring a MB link or Iggy, I can't seem to get enough death/ utility ratio?

(note I usually play ISS and have not had any trouble there, new faction blues I guess).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Jay.

Bakunin is more prone to Limited Insertion thanks to the Riot Grrrls!! and the Moiras having close costs, then the Taskmaster and the Haris options give it tons of flexibility. They also have tons of hackers, and the Zeros are better midfield specialists (they are specialized, unlike the Bandit) or you can use the Prowlers (which are the killy option).

In Corregidor you lose a big strength: AD troopers (Onyx & Tohaa win here while LI, followed by the Ragik in Haqquislam, and then characters like Diomedes), and are limited to two options: either a core of Brigadas, or a Duo of Geckos (the Iguana, while good, shines the brightest in generic). Then you check your Wildcat options, and a bandit. The Morans are, again, good, but like the Iguana shine the brightest on generic.

    An example list:

Often people will use the same list philosophy for LI list as usual, which is to have a few actors and the rest support. I have found that structure to either fall apart to order drain or fall apart to getting your primary actors used up.

When a guy gets used he often needs to end in a bad defensive position. A lot of times this leaves a guy with one turn of action, and between that and other casualties I run out of people who can do anything.

So the primary philosophy is that no one is fun to target and everyone adds tools that can make a plan. I'd say the biggest weakness is no doctor, but my meta has been using mostly weapons that don't leave bodies.

Games I've lost I've either been table wiped or just scored less. I don't hit the event where I go "well it's already over".

This list wasn't made for LI so it wasn't expecting to fight only 10 order lists. Not sure if that changes anything.

I like the way Ioricus said it: "no one is fun to target and everyone ads tools"
    The idea here is simple:
    - A gecko team is cool
    - A gecko team is a moving wall
    - Salyut + Tsyklon speaks for itself
    - Carlota does real work here with maintenance of the above + flaming/climbing plus is great to get to camo/To sniper nests from the side, etc.
    - The Wildcat link is a very defensive threat with two launchers and flame zone defense, careful with no doctor, so hidden/prone first turn is advisable for late game denial stuff. You'll use their orders first turn on the gecko's/Tsyklon.

    Notice:
The list is ofc very mission dependant
The lack of doctor is not overly important, In LI healing eats orders most time anyway <> contrast to potential repairs/hacking counters needed with Tsyklon and gecko's

    Alternatively:

[IMG] MOBILE BRIGADA Lieutenant Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 33)
[IMG] MOBILE BRIGADA Missile Launcher / Pistol, Knife. (2 | 40)
[IMG] MOBILE BRIGADA Hacker (Hacking Device) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 43)
[IMG] MOBILE BRIGADA HMG / Pistol, Knife. (2 | 42)
[IMG] CARLOTA KOWALSKY Combi Rifle + Light Flamethrower, Adhesive Launcher, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 30)
[IMG] TOMCAT Doctor (MediKit) Combi Rifle + Light Flamethrower / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 22)
[IMG] SEÑOR MASSACRE (Fireteam: Haris) Breaker Combi Rifle, E/M Grenades, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW, E/M CCW. (0.5 | 30)
[IMG] JAGUAR Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 10)
[IMG] JAGUAR Adhesive Launcher, Panzerfaust / Pistol, DA CCW. (0.5 | 13)

    The idea:
    - Mobile sculpts are way cooler than their profiles and deserve more play, and this uses the box +ice storm guy nicely
    - order efficiency ftw here with an aggresive haris and polyvalent core
    - not much frills, but that suits these guys and girls just fine.

Haven't tried the second list yet, but soon will.

The first list seems like it would be weak against TAGs and even weaker against someone like Achilles. You don't have any defensive abilities in the list, so if someone can deal with the wildcats you get in real trouble. It would not take much... a smoke grenade or two to block their line of sight, or some spec fire, or something like that.

I think the brigada link is better in LI, but I'd personally want to make something out of geckos/iguana/massacre/bandit. Not sure how it would work.

I lost to objectives but I certainly didn't feel held back by my list. He had a lot of trouble crippling my list, I was down nothing from turn 1 (admittedly luck was on my side) and the Bandit/Wildcat Spitfire/Dak from turn 2, much more durable than a larger list. The TAG relied on me missing a free shot with the Blitzen to even kill as much as it did, and took 2 wounds doing it.

I'm not sure what Achillies is supposed to do unless he was linked with Pat. He would have had a lot of trouble with all those DTW.

*Edit: Like, a hour ago, I just got home.

Your list is better for sure. Bandit/Intruder/Daktari is a pretty functional group.

I called out Achilles specifically since it seems like it would be easy for a Myrmidon to smoke him into the spitfire's +3. After that, he can kill Wildcats all day, and shrug off geckos. There's way to cope. In your list, though, Intruder + Dak to the rescue.
