Better late than never! XD I agree with the LT situation. I think one thing that would help is a reworked Skiavoros given to Onyx as a special EI aspect LT. it needs to be in the mid 40s with maybe a low 50s option with more advanced loadout. There’s also still hope that the rework will bring the team Achilles into the fold. Which would add another wip 15 LT option.
Now that CB has removed Nourkias (at least the totally balanced marker state version) from vCA would it be possible to get that same profile back to Onyx? You know, to make factions different. ;)
Do we have any idea when this rework is coming? I'd like to see Maakrep go up to 2 in an onyx fireteam, or a Sygmaa character with (Maakrep). I just want that SD. A Legate rework, I love the models but can't really find a place for one that suits me. Maybe just make them (Unidron) A HI Batroid would be great
Since we now know Next Wave for CA is coming, I don't think there will be an Onyx re-work any time soon. Or at least nothing significant.
It’s weird too. Because late last year/early this year they said Onyx was on the table with ISS and one other for reworks. But that was before NW announcement. So I’m curious if they’re scrapping that idea or if it will still get some small love when the other stuff drops. I’m with you that it won’t be significant in terms of new units with NW happening though.
Last official communication we had was indeed about it getting a rework, I do not think a communication stating otherwise, or when that rework is slotted to happen has been made.
It's probably that CB realised that the sectorial needed a lot more work than initially projected, which makes sense if they keep the Sygma as they'll be the basis of future Tohaa. The current models, despite being CA, still had elements of the then Tohaa models in them.
Well they got a mini re-work. Some things are now exclusive to them. Nexus is good. Grief got better. Samaritans Plasma rifle. and more. So not bad.
Right now biggest problem are Onyx fireteams. There is almost zero flexibility. If CB touch this in the next update, I think Onyx will be fine until rework. And rework could be fun, given what they did with NW
Onyx has changed. Samaritans now have marker state and are able to perform kinda like old Nourkias. That's nice! Legate got Tactical Awesomeness. Points didn't changed much and I don't know what to thing about him. Fire teams to w him so special treatment and he loses FD 8' which I think is huge considering he is specialist with some damage capability. I really like hacker with shotgun+1B. Stealth and NWI gives him nice edge. Nexus got reworked. No more cheap NCO. No more cheap Lt. Keep in mind +3p on him + 2p on every Ikadron - that stacks hurtfully. It's a quite investment. Especially for hacker with redundant mim-3 and average WIP. BTS 6 tho and offensive burst on program. Ko Dali is a specialist! Nice kit, but kinda fragile. Better CC weapon that PS8 AP is needed.
