Visibility seen from the top of the head doesn't look great to me, but I don't get the impression that we're on a series that likes heads that are clearly distinguishable from a distance (1.5 meter). I saw on the dark net that Koni said there wouldn't be any new rules, so unless that means nothing more but weapon line modulations, that means we're staying on the same profile. The 2 TAGs will be in unicool plastic (except for the pilot, which will be in metal, as he confirmed yesterday, but as it's obvious, I didn't pick it up):
Aaaaaaaannnd two for two on ugly tags, Man, CB really forget how to do nice models. And how in the hell these two are fan favorite tags? Never saw in table more than twice in 14 years playing the game (and one was me putting the Iguana in a Qapu list)
It looks cool. It’s definitely a modernized version of the Jotum. Old Jotum still is very cool. A good change, but it’s not overshadowing in term of coolness the old model either
Yes good new interpretation overall. But I have some issues: First whats on his back? It looks too big, too dominating over the head. It could be a mortar but sadly Jotum not even have a grenade launcher. Second the plates on the torso left and right, while adapted from the original design, they look too open for me. Gun is cool, shield also. Miss the Hammer ;.) I already have two painted - so I don´t think I need new one. I still wonder if this two are: I mean Jotum was in a well aged state. Of course a new in release in plasticresin is good thing in genreal, but people begging for it? In the forum I see begging for some TAGs that are OOP. Best candidate for plastic-re-release would be Maggie. I am now a bit scary for plastik sally (but I have faith ;-)
I'm ok with both new designs, none particulary good but also not bad at all. And the Iguana is definitely better looking than the new Lizard Still the Iguana's head piece looksclike one crafty Corregidoran engineer mounted a Fanous's shell onto the TAG to have it double serve as the repeater housing and a roof box for the operator's belonings aka. the Operator's HMG + under barrel Flamethrower (which basically solves any weapon scaling issues for me). The Jotum ont the other hand looks finally like an actual chonky MBTAG, not like some lanky dude covered in too big clothing. But I don't underdtand the design purpose of theose cylindical shapes mounted onto the TAG's back. All in all both are the fun and silly designs I'm used to seeing in Infinity. I guess the forum is still burning for a booby Gorgos This would be the sanest decision.
"Jotum, where do you want me to place a shield?" "YES" I love his gun and stance, it fits him way better than for the Cutter.
Mhmmmm, doesn't exactly look like a cornucopia of new (Infinity) models for Gencon this year. Oh well.
I've updated the July/August releases: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threa...-its-territory-ever-higher.43465/#post-483424 Still missing is the announcement of the IGW pack, we didn't have too many details about its content but maybe we could have some collector's content. Concerning the releases on the gencon stand, sometimes CB puts them back on sale during black friday, so maybe we could see them again on the store this autumn. For Gencon, we're still missing the Achilles fireteam releases, which are the only things missing from the known teasers. We're also waiting for teasers for the usariadna reboot. They've also talked about an “Infinity celebrates its 20th anniversary” teaser, maybe we'll see a teaser for a collector's figurine like we got for the Pandemic figurine. Then in addition to new teasers for the second half of the year, they've also got lots of stuff to announce ranging from the community app, to new games and comics and series.
This is the first time I've seen Yu Jing at the top for number of new figures, I think ever! I think it's only that way due to August not having very much. It's still not nearly as much as Nomads got for Bakunin when they came out though I hope we see the rest of new troops for IS soon. We still need the Vanguard, Jinwei, and Feiquan. I wouldn't say no to a Koga without a TacBow. I thought we'd also a new Dire Foes with Xi and maybe again Leila Sharif, but they seem to be changing the combos a little. Am I wrong that there's been NO new Haqqislam figures so far this year?! Last year they would have been on the bottom of the list if it wasn't for the REF pack. Aleph is also still at zero new figures. I suspect the new K2 Auxiliary before the end of the year. Figure Release up to August 2025 YJ: 7 Releases, 20 figures (WB Beta pack, IS Action Pack, Dragon Lord, Long Wang, IS Alpha Pack, IS Pack Beta, YJ Paint set) JSA: 7 Releases, 16 figures (Alpha pack, Beta pack, Gamma pack, Aibots, Delta pack, Yamabushi, JSA Paint set) PanO: 7 Releases, 13 figures (KCF Beta pack, Dr. Priya Harper, Gamma pack, Redeye, PanO Paint Set, Drummers, Jotum) O-12: 4 Release, 7 figure (TB Beta Pack, Jamie Arantes, Tinker and Zetbot, Firebat) Ariadna: 2 Release, 5 figures (TAK Alpha Pack, Vystrel pack) Nomads: 3 Release, 5 Figures (Go-Pod & Go-Bot, Iguana & Pilot, Nomad paint set) NA2: 2 Release, 3 Figure (Krakot Renegade, Scarface & Cordelia) CA: 1 Release, 1 Figure (Krakot Renegade) Special: Dire Foes 15, (HVT, Oda, Bipandra)
Totaly agree. I paint orange, but I don´t think I need anymore of this, but anyway she is worth it ;-) If only I had a spare Gizmokit, she also would make a fine Shinje proxy (but not much cheaper I guess....) Do you not count the DF to their original factions?
Seems like lacking but when you think about it, usually there's only a single special figure that maybe one faction can use. This is at least 2! I really can’t understand why they chose the Jotum. It’s ONLY in SWF! (maybe they are adding it to KCF, because you know… KCF is weak right?) The Iguana, at least, could be said to be for Haqq as well since it’s in QK as well as JCC. But even the Iguana really needed rules changes, not a figure. Also, PanO just recently got a new Cutter and Tikbalang! At this point I’m willing to bet on a new Seraph for Christmas! What da F CB?!
If you consider five years ago is recent for the Cutter, then, yeah Seraph will be ten years old at the end of this year (sharing the same release date as the Guijia). Jotun was released in 2012, Iguana in 2014.
