Hello Folks, I played for a while Ramah during N5. I went to my first 2025 Satellite with this army last weekend, I didn't have too much success but I had a lot of fun and I saw the potential that Ramah has in N5, at least in the current stage of it. So, let me share with you my experiences, which I hope cheers you up to play Ramah and to share the experience. The Missions: Front Line, Unmasking, Countermeasures, Supplies and Supremacy. I played List A for Countermeasures and Supplies, and List B for the others. (0 | 24) 4 SWC | 298 Points Open in Infinity Army First, you will noticed both list are only one 10 troupes lists. Main reasons for this were, I was playing a lot LI for the last year in N4, mostly with Winterforce, so I get used to it, plus lately I'm a little lazy to transport too many miniatures. Now, they can't take 2 orders from my pool if I go first. Quite an improvement. The Idea behind the lists List A was mainly about mobility, in form of 5 profiles with superjump. Khawarij and SuperKhawarij, followed by Fiddler. Leila, Rouhani will provide some support, and Namur will put some resilience and another shooter, spitfire +1 Burst plus X visor isn't the best weapon but do the trick if needed. The mobility allow me in the case to go first, to reach the targets (consoles, tech-coffins...) with not too many orders, or to reach the good range band of my weapons to engage a firefight. If needed I could use smoke from NCO ghulam or khawarij with discoballer. This will be for Active turn in general, not only going first in fact. What about the ARO... No ARO in this list, the idea is to hide as well I can, then to take advantage of the mobility when the active turn came. Khawarij and Namur can be a problem to deal when the enemy is close. They aren't CC specialist, but they can do the trick plus, they can be an issue for CC specialist. This will be the protection, plus, pretty much everything will be linked, so at least I will have a chance to win a F2F roll. Rouhani having flash pulse with VOL15... Wow. Immunity BLI is a thing when you have good doctors, even if you have only one wound. Thanks to all of this you should be able to avoid to have many looses in the first turn. Tarik could look like the best piece in the army, but is only the shinny one, so it eclipse others from the rival... This allow you to push with the NCO mk12 or the Namur. Even Leila can go for hunt and do cibermask for extra protection. We could say this list is a kind of to shoot and hide, or to push and hide. About List B... the approach is more direct, since it has less mobility. Still it has some "to hide" in it. Active turn: we have big guns, Janissary or Zhayedan, both with HMG, Yara with Markasman rifle AP plus a humble redfury. But not only this. We already have 3 emitter, which are in this N5 a beast of weapon. Yes, if you are facing warhose in front of you they probably will do not too much, but they aren't too many in game but Morats. We even go for hunt with the Nahabs, they are pretty gut in CC. And if we feel lucky even to try to infiltrate. Reactive turn: the idea is to allow horlak and maybe the janissary to do some ARO, when wounded, try to success the guts roll then go prone and out of LoF. But mainly I wil have to relay on nahabs and the decoys to slow the enemy. You can set them watching the corridors, so anyone could be "zapped", plus not any wardband/cheap guy can kill one of this. This list have bigger resistance than the other, thanks to many nwi, this allow to delay the enemy advance, being wounded, then to hide. Rouhani is a main piece to keep the army in one piece. Zhayedan Lt could be a little obvious but thanks to regeneration and being warhorse have a chance of survival. Both lists have some confidence on Immunity ARM to work properly, but are a little weak against viral weapons. About the Tournament I only won 1 game, lost 3 and tie 1. Front Line win vs SSA, Unmasking lost vs WhiteCo, Countermeasures lost vs White Co, Supplies lost vs Shavastii and Supremacy tie vs SSA. I went first all matches but last one, where I lost initiative roll, rival choose deploy, then I choose to go second, yes, even when I deployed first. That match I tied because the classified objective my rival had allow one extra point, plus it was the last, we were fighting for not going to deep on the final classification. Front Line: Nahabs made a lot of work, emitter was a magnificent weapon to disable the enemy, they accomplished a few objetives and in the end allow the army to go out of the deployment zone and to take the center. What I wasn't capable to do was to kill Agamenon, not even with Yara. Unmasking: It was a mix of me doing some errors plus a few bad rolls. I managed during my first turn to discover the target and to kill it, but I didn't protect too well the Nahabs. Rival kill easily my janissary and all my hackers. With 6 orders, I spend 5 orders trying to kill one Redfury Haidao with my Horlak. That was the end. Since later the other player managed to kill all the targets and Rohuani, so I can't fight for the consoles or to try to kill the last civil. I had bad luck with the Horlak, but I could have done things differently, I think I went nervous after he killed me 4 orders and I tried to do the same to him. Countermeasures: I started the game, the objectives looked to be easy to do... So It looks promising... but dices had another idea. I needed 3 orders to success one roll on 17s... this prevent me to be able to achieve the 3 objective. My rival managed to do the 3 in his first turn and I failed to perform more than one in my second. I lost too much time fighting a Karhu or trying to kill the pathfinder (didn't managed) with the mk12 khawarij. The second turn my rival did another 3, so in my third turn I only could fight for a tie... but I did really poorly the things by mixing cards, so a spend a lot of orders to achieve nothing. However, it wouldn't have matter, since the last 3 objectives my rival didn't need to move to do any of it so... I think I should have to place more effort to reduce the pool orders from my rival and less doing objectives or I should be more confident on Tarik, Fiddler and Khawarij doctor. Supplies: Against shavastii I tried to be more aggressive with Tarik. It took me too lot to kill the RT, but I grab a vitapack with him... It was for nothing. First hmg gwailo burst against him... 5 hits, 5 wounds... Later I tried to bring down the gwailo with fiddler and the contender, no success, I tried twice, first I lost thanks to a critical hit, second time, after recovering Fiddler from isolated thanks to a switch-on, I lost the F2F roll, going isolated again. I managed to grab a box in my last turn, but pretty much my rival haven't too many issues to grab the other two. This time I think I should have to take the boxes and to run with then, since I could have grab 2 of then easily and to hide on the roof of a couple of buildings. Supplies: Nahabs did a good job preventing the enemy to come and taking quadrants, I struggle a little to kill turrets... Funny thing janissary hmg killed easily the RT HMG remote, but wasn't capable to kill a combi turret XD Conclusions: Ramah is in good shape in n5. You can go now for the super soldiers if you want to, or you can bring some less extreme lists, but still be confident in your supersoldiers. It has, as always, a more direct approach than other Haqqislam armies, which is a good thing, but still have some tricks. I think every profile on the lists is worthy to be include. For example: I wasn't too afraid for Nourkias, because I knew he will struggle with Nahabs, not making him to easy to grab the others, and a little same with the Khawarijs.
Thank you for your report. RTF feels to be designed for LI. I would love to try this list: Limited Insertion ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 9 1 2 GHULAM Rifle, Light Shotgun / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 11) GHULAM (Lieutenant [+1 Command Token]) Rifle, Light Shotgun / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 15) MAGHARIBA MULTI Heavy Machine Gun, Heavy Flamethrower(+1B), Mine Dispenser(Shock) / AP Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon(PS=4). (1.5 | 71) JANDAB . (- | 2) SHAKUSH PILOT Submachine Gun, D-Charges ( | GizmoKit) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 9) NAMURR Spitfire, E/Marat, D-Charges / Heavy Pistol, E/M CC Weapon(PS=7). (1 | 44) NAMURR (Tactical Awareness) Breaker Rifle, Light Shotgun, E/Marat, D-Charges / Heavy Pistol, E/M CC Weapon(PS=7). (0 | 42) KHAWARIJ AP Spitfire, Pulzar(+1B) / Pistol, Viral CC Weapon(PS=6). (1.5 | 35) TUAREG (Doctor [2W]) Rifle, Light Shotgun, Shock Mine ( | MediKit) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 32) SHIHAB REMOTE Heavy Machine Gun / PARA CC Weapon(-3). (1 | 23) MONSTRUCKER Submachine Gun, Chain Rifle, Drop Bears, Armed Turret (AP Rifle) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 15) NASMAT PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 3) 5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army I am most excited for the Namurr Duo and the Tuareg doctor. That feels like that would be a great surprise.
Sounds really good. When you try, please, let us know. In general Ramah had many profiles with a small increment of points instead of dropping , but I think they were done in the right direction.
Played a similar Tark/SuperJump list the other night with a lot of success. Some notes: Tarik+MSV2 Khwarij make an awesome Duo that have four orders between them (+Lt. Orders and NCO) and that can do "all the things". For some extra utility add in a 9pts. Beast Hunter FTO. They can shoot panzerfausts (twice now), drop a heavy flamer if needed, or even just take a hit from a mine/koala/madtrap that you don't want to risk a bad roll on ("Oh no... my 9pts. are dead...") I still love my Zhayaden sniper/ML core (backed up by 4 Ghulams) and it probably is one of the best 5-man cores in N5 (taking in to account cost). But because of Albedo affecting Marksmanship now, it needs some backup. I backed up with a Thunderbolt TR bot (cheap, no SWC, excellent ranges) and/or a B2 Missile bot (very cool Haqq-unique? option) to take on targets that aren't good for the Zhayaden I actually ran Fiddler FTO on her own and while she doesn't get any link bonuses, it does free her up to just gun it across the board (while leaving nasmats back to fix remotes), super jump all over the place and gun things down with the now AMAZING Contender A Hortlak CoC can be a really good (though pricey) backup, since Tarik's going to be taking very active action (and things happen...) Overall the list was a lot of fun and super effective. So much so that I'm debating whether or not to take RTF to our local Satellite event now
How cool, thanks for sharing, and please, do it again if you finally go to the satellite with RTF. I'm now thinking if I should keep playing with Ramah or to move to others things. (Too many to taste in this early n5).
