Hi Folks, after a long absence I am back. Some folks around here in this section might recognise me, this was my old wip blog: http://infinitytheforums.com/forum/topic/8755-nathelis-panoaleph-wip-blog-now-with-neoterra/?page=1 Now I want to show you some Imperial Service, it is heavily inspired by LeFranks: http://infinitytheforums.com/forum/topic/45854-yu-jing’s-uesugi-clan-and-the-jade-phoenix-division/ Such a great colour scheme and I had to absolutely have it too, with some modifications on single minis of Course. So I have been painting now for 10 days without a break and finished 3 Miniatures. I have some detail shots The bases will soon be changed to some micro art studios ones...still waiting for the order to arrive.
It's good to have you back :) Your posts always make me droll and itch to paint something myself. As always top notch miniatures.
10 Days painting....absolutly worth, mate. Really great project. And the special mood in your pictures is excellent. Hope to see more in next ten days xD
Damn, brilliant painting mate!! I really love this weapons and this clean look of each unit. Want see more soon.
thanks mate, the feedback is really appreciated. Working on the Tactical Bow ninja already :D stay tuned
So the ninja is done and this concludes my 6 miniatures 150 points start list. can't wait to get them on the table...still waiting for the bases...next week they will arrive. Black painting is super tricky...that is the first time in my life I tried to do it for almost a whole miniature...
Black is beautiful! Yes its tricky and you made it look so easy ;). She fits perfectly to your whole army. The subtle lightning makes her really look like a ninja from the shadow. You could add a different color, maybe a little part on the helmet, to make her more interesting. A little eyecatcher. Brilliant work so far mate.
Another awesome miniature. I admire your fast painting skills. To be honest it took me some time to realise your minis were not painted by @lefrank . That's a copycatingt done in the right way. Also browsing your log on old forum it's visible how your skills have improved over the years. Well done mate. @lefrank when can we see some updates to your JSA and YJ?
I hope soon. Right now I'm painting the minis of the upcoming JSA-Box I got from my Warcor, a third of it is done. And it's totally fun to paint them. Also I repainted my Nomads, and they got soooo much better. Aaaand I have to say: Yes, I'm an addict. I started another faction just to have more gorgeous minis and a new paint scheme. More on it when I open a thread (next week perhaps ...)
Its tutorial time guys! @Flipswitch asked me to show some step by step for skin painting...and I thought why not do it on the forums. Finally i am painting a miniture where I can show how I paint skin/faces. What better model than to use female Kanren? By the way I use magnifying glasses with a factor of 3.5x to do it :D highly recommend this equipment for Infinity painting. First we paint the skin basecolor, the eyes black + white and leave a little black around the eye. We also paint the lips first black then dark red. Next we add a little dot green in the eyes, it is our eye color. Then another black dot inside the green dot, so it needs to be a little smaller so that a small part of green is visible. We also pain the first shadows and highlights, to mark where they should be. We smooth the colors a bit, paint a lighter color on the lips. then we color the eyebrows. After this step i fucked up the left eye so had to do it again :D yes its that hard... Final step, smooth everything out...the more time you spend here the better it will be. I did it very hasty to finish this tutorial, for high res showcase competition skin be need to smooth it further but in real without magnifying glasses or macro lens its perfect. Hope you enjoyd! good luck with your skin/faces in the future.
