I don't understand the point of doing an edition launch by deleting day one the American sectorial, when they've already deleted about ten of them, and there's not even any communication, well I suppose Koni will answer maybe on discord. It's possible there'll be a reboot, but with all the sectorials removed, one would think they'd have kept the product range available until the reboot, maybe a reboot in 2025?
And dogs gained BTS 3. Also, what realistically can be a problem to them? They were vulnerable to viral already, they are irregular already. Maybe they can be adhesive launchered and e/m-ed now? And stunned.
A sad day for Ariadna. Lost two sectorials + not that much upgrades, Bears nerfed to oblivion, all dogs lost total immunity and plenty more. New unites are cheap copy paste uninspired and boring, except the tank.
Now they are more vulnerable to breaker, nanopulser, pulzars, etc etc. Before you treated all that weapons as N ammo with ARM 4 or better. Now you have BTS 3 and also can be reduced Also many ariadnan troops get expensier, for some reason (I noticed Varengian and Wallace), or got severely nerfed (Unknown ranger, lost 1 level of MA, lost MSV, lost 1 PH)
Same. I see no reason to launch new edition and immedeately shunt one sectorial to the out of catalogue. Bizarre choice. If rework is coming, keep them. If they are being cut, cut them. It is not like we do not have factions with two or even zero sectorials. Technically lost three, because most of USARF is a cardboard copy of what it used to be, but cheaper. The upgrades are so marginal they are barely noticeable. Somewhere they got nerfed (Unknown Ranger comes to mind). I am still happy about upgrades, but I wanted a little bit more for my steppe rangers. And certainly not nerfs.
Ariadna got screwed on pretty much every angle. Everyone else got better at what Ariadna does while Ariadna got worse at it. On top of that, they gained nothing to make up for what they lost or add new functionality. A lot of the nerfs are just completely wild (why did Bruant and Spets go up? Wally went up 4 points and is paying for a skill he can't even use in his vanilla inclusion..), and a lot of these changes just don't make a whole lot of sense. I'm hoping to be proven wrong, but this is a serious gut punch. I'm supposed to take Ariadna to a Satellite in a month and a half, and man, it's looking dismal right about now.
Yeah, looking at some other units from different faction and what they got is mind blowing. Kosmo looks pretty shit atm. Still can't get my head around the Bear nerf ... Kosmosoldat got cheaper but with shitty link team options. Volkolak lost (rockot) composition... They just copy pasted USAriadna profiles to TAK, lol.
Also, with the changes on guided, Uragan and Kathyusha are practically unsusable. (No longer +6 to BS, only range mods)
Soooo, about these TAG-pilots-not-piloting-TAGs...? It looks like "we wanted to get rid of TAG pilots in the game but the minis exist so here is a way to play them somehow", right? Feels out of place.
I agree, I miss the rules for dismounting a TAG pilot. It looks like CB are moving away from it and introducing helper bots for every TAG. In terms of head canon, perhaps each military has finally realised it is safer for the TAG pilot to interact with the outside world via a helper bot. I like how Deactivator now allows troopers to turn off enemy deployables within ZoC. Makes removing repeaters much easier.
TAG "supporters" are a missed opportunity, optional pilot upgrades chosen from the TAG card itself would work better. The samey upgrades also feel meh, especially compared to so many good changes and additions. And, somehow, Gator pilot grants it a whooping CC boost. Teacher's pets XD
Just realized that the Contender got a nice upgrade: Burst 2 and T2 ammo. I also think it now has better Range Bands.
