The Sepulcre is not amazing CC but it's at Tohaa tier, which works for me and most of their Tohaa players. It's just uncrappy enough to be serviceable.
That's a funny way of saying having one of the best cc warbands in the game with ma1 and ikhol 1. Putting almost all cc specialists down on 20 or less. God forbid a makaul get into combat with a knight
I think people undervalue Holo2 in N3. It doesn't grant negative BS modifiers, but it still gives you surprise shot and automatically re-enables in your reactive turn if you end out of LoF. It's a very reliable piece of offensive/defensive tech.
I'm talking Neema and the beasts more than Sepulchre, but yes Yeah the Sepulcre's main problem is bad gun options, not bad CC. It's not Montesa- or Shang Ji- tier for CC tax.
You are the BEST kind of correct. TECHNICALLY correct! There is, indeed, an SMG tagging along on that Heavy Rocket Launcher profile and I'm certainly not going to complain about that. But (fairly obviously I hope) I am talking about a unit with the massive price discount of the SMG as a primary weapon.
I totally get that. Which is why I think Sepulcher should get access to that weapon option (maybe even some more options for PanO in the future).
Indeed. But I don't think there's even any point in dreaming about MO units. They aren't changing 'till we get a new edition (with the possible exception of Hospitallers for Svalarheima, or MAYBE Teutons IF we get real content updates for Paradiso units when they eventually do Paradiso N3). Which is why I've been thinking/talking about Varuna (the Sectorial which we might yet influence and will see sooner rather than later).
It also lets ypu pull move move shennanigans. Not many people are going to go in for a 2 in 3 chance of getting murderised by a knight. It also still has all the old tricks like holo bait and switching
On a side note adimaral is right. They arent going back through the old profiles. Not gonna happen. We just have to accept that these are the profiles we have and use them
To be fair a solid month ago anyone would have said this about japs getting any new units or reworks. I mean that might have something to do with some staff being sort of japanophiles
So like 1 other knight with MR ? (only Hospitallers have it, all other scrubs are running&gunning with Combis/Spitfires)
Aaaand you are hackable/shootable. Holo problem is easily/cheaply solved by any kind of warband with template (read - 95% of them).
It's not perfect, but it DOES work. Which is why the Spitfire profile can work. It's just sad that such a cool concept and great mini has only one way to play.
Hospitaller and Joan of Arc. Based on their popularity in lists, I bet these two make up about 60% of all knights that ever hit the table in Vanilla or MO, with another 30% being Magisters, 10% maaaaybe being all other Orders. So yeah, ready for a useful loadouts that isn't a MULTI Rifle. MULTI Marksman would be very playable.
Eh, if you are using it for that, it's just a one-off mimetism. Not great. I mean, if you rely on automatically spawned holos in reactive turn, where Holo2 isn't that great already, then yeah, this is what you'll get. But you use those for different purposes, and any mixups coming from automatically spawned holos are just "in a pinch" thing.
