To be honest, I am hoping that if CB does decide to bring back the Tohaa, it's after my kids are done with daycare, so I have a little wiggle room in my budget.
Thanks for sharing this Wizzy. Although tbh I'd rather both the CA and Tohaa forces in the Human Sphere had become cut off from their home empires. That gives a lot more reason for low level conflicts and operations Some willing to work with humans (and CA), others becoming hardliners bent on carrying on the Tridents mission, and some nefarious elements living out the Triumverates dark machinations. Tohaa refugee ships travelling the Circulars like Nomads. Tohaa groups splintering from each other with the loss of the Trident and going merc. Also the issues that inevitably crop-up when actual refugee aliens start settling in your system. Maybe O-12 has forced all the Hyperpowers to take some refugees in, with govts and coprorations salivating at the thought of the technology and expertise to be gained, while the low rungs of society grow resentful of having to compete with them for jobs. I feel like refugee tohaa could have a lot in common with the shasvastii groups secretly working to free themselves from the EI's yoke. You can imagine both groups would be welcomed by the mafia's of submondo, or would have freedom of action in Human Edge.... Prehaps an Ariadna faction sees great benefit in allowing Tohaa settlement and trade. Teseum for advance biotechnical powers. "WEIRD that the tohaa seem to have such affinity for the Antipodes" - some grunt Clearly I was a Sprial Corps lover, maybe others prefer to see the return of the Space Opera galactic wars....
There was a preview for tohaa and aelis keesan. https://i.ibb.co/ncWLGRk/t7-Nd-CDTV...v-SLcch12mod-Su-DXc-Jb4-HLQt7rcstw-GBl-W.webp
Absolutely Fascinating that we kept the Motorized Bounty Hunters. That was the merc unit I was most expecting us to lose. Also looks like the generic Kiiutans are gone, which is odd. They were thoroughly outclass by Jaan, but it would've been neat to see them get a bit of a rework to be worth taking. Nothing else much to talk about without profiles, butat least it looks like pretty much everything is still around, which is nice.
Fuck, I didn't realize we lost the Kiuutan. Its profile made no sense compared to the other better Impersonators (the way-too-good-for-its-cost Jaan and the cheaper Greif Operator), but the miniature was beautiful.
CSU was never part of Tohaa. You mixed her up with the ITS CSU that everyone got. I'm honestly surprised we lost neither the MBH nor the Libertos. Very happy I can still use those models :) Well, on the other hand, CB never released a non-Defiance Jaan Staar, so your Kiiutan model (which I agree is beautiful) can now just officially be Jaan Staar :) Mine for sure already is ;)
I think the only model for Jan Staar was the Defiance KS one (or at least I can't find another), so if the idea was to keep the profiles simple and low, just adding one or two kiuutan weapon profiles to Jan Staar's and using the kiuutan model as Jan's is a somewhat logical compromise (I think it would have been more logical to keep the unit on AVA1 and remove Jan's name, while keeping or merging the stats, but oh well).
Gonna miss Helots, and the extra Kiiutans. Oh well. At least coming back to core tohaa comes with other perks.
Since i already painted my Jaan and Greif for spiral, and the Kiiutan is merely zenithaled, that's likely what I'm gonna do since I also play onyx. Assuming no AVA changes.
