So, I finally went up and picked my box of Beyond, and I can confirm that my miniatures didn't came labeled as an Infinity product.
Two new characters and one generic officer per faction, pretty good additions to the game. The elf mage-warrior and the orc ambusher where not listed in the calendar, I wonder if we'll have more surprises like that.
Probably all three are in officers packs. All three Hegemony characters seem to be officers. The elf warrior is an officer with some magic powers.
I stand corrected then. I found most of them on Warsenal pre-order, but could not find the elf mage. Can anyone provide a link?
Everyone of the orcs of the North Tribes are at least the equivalent of an Infinity S6 height, wide and depth wise. The Bear is higher and thicker than an o-12 Gamma... which is already beefy as you know. The hegemony are not as massive as the North Tribes, but they're as tall or even taller as a new line Morat, and almost as beefy. Not saying that more materials and bigger molds imply higher costs. But maybe it does.
I get it. They are beefier. But if you start calculate price per miniature. It gets more expensive with every single new box. My only guess is that it's a single character in a box. And it won't be so popular. But you have to break even with the costs of molds, design and etc. It's really close to GW's pricing territory for a single character. But there you get the quality of plastic which is way superior to sciocast. Different poses and optional gear.
So far, including these releases, the average price per mini is roughly 12.5€ RRP, but you only start having discount once you hit 6-10-14 models per box, and beefy heroes are 25€ by themselves. Until we have a bigger picture and the "action pack" equivalent, it's hard to tell how much a full blown company would cost to play, but if we're at 200€ for one, it's still affordable for a skirmish game despite those prices.
Basic rulers are so-so, does anyone make alternatives? Does anyone even make accessories for Warcrow atm?
I asked about it at Freak Wars, but the people there I talked to couldn't point me to any specific company. They expect that other companies and their usual partners will do it, but nothnig has been announced as far as I know.
Warsenal made acrylic alternatives for everything, except turn-counter. Mind you the price is hefty, price of the whole starter box for just tokens and rulers.
Hello! You can find the starter box cards here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Tp2S1XqRTUK0ST5fNq5EiE1Mr3f8Zgqh Other cards disclosed so far can be seen in the Warcrow Discord server, and some are shown on videos...
With the system released so recently, I think everyone is waiting to see will it be successful enough to start production. I run a business myself and at this point I wouldn't, yet. I'm disappointed however, that CB is not putting a pdf file with them online.
