So Silver Snake is NOT a part of the White Banner booster, but it now looks like WB is getting Hac Tao? https://warsen.al/collections/infin...banner-expansion-pack-alpha-october-pre-order Which kind of sucks if you just bought this. https://warsen.al/products/yu-jing-...91206&pr_ref_pid=9986657288497&pr_seq=uniform I’m thinking it’s a mistake and it’s supposed to be the Guilang hacker. It’s the only currently single White Banner troop that could go into a set.
Silver Snake looks cool, has a Shang Ji HI style new backpack. The lack of metal cord muscles does seem like he's a MI. Special operative Gui Feng kinda had that look, light but has backpack fins like the old invincible. I don't know what role a silver snake fulfills in White Banner that's not already handled by their various sneaky ranged LI MI. ______/ On the image of shaolin monks killing civilians, that does match up with records of them working for the government during the Ming dynasty. 'Japanese Pirate' settlements were wiped out by shaolin monks, non combatant women included. There was no reprimands or any mention of it being un-Buddhist conduct, they were doing a job for the ruling dynasty of the time. http://themartialscholar.yolasite.com/resources/meir sharhar.pdf
The crazy WB expansion is now announced for October as weird as it is incl Hac Tao. If it will join WB and CB will wait to communicate that at N5 then why even bring the set now? As an extra the cover shows Hundun with MSR and not the HRL which is included. Strange and confusing product.
The silver snake seems more than a little redundant in WB. The weapon even looks like a Marksman rifle. Which the Sulyong already has. While I can understand that monks may have been pressured into killing then, and seems to be one battle, that doesn't mean they have to now (in the game now). Frenzy impetuous make little sense in a game that's supposed to based on futuristic military. Troops with that sort of disposition get themselves and others killed. Also don't accomplish missions.
Does anyone have a link, or know, what it was Carlos said about ISS? I thought I saw something where he said something about ISS eventually being updated. But of course that could be years from now. First they have JSA and it's sectorals, and then PanO as well. Sadly I can't see them coming out with another Asian themed force right after JSA. I'm sure everyone has seen the Hatamoto by now. I hope they change the Crane to be as good as that guy. The only thing he lacks is ARM4. CC weapons that can pretty much take out anything, we don't know all the guns yet but the Red Fury with X-Visor alone is really pretty good. He can take out a lot of LI, MI, and more with that. Sure he's AVA1 but they almost always show the Vanilla first.
From memory I think ISS and Onyx are the two sectorials scheduled for an update sooner rather than later.
The showcase profiles are always AVA 1 - that has nothing to say and will be change. Remember its an exclusive preview and "fianal profile in app may (will) differ".
So probably Onyx then. Because having the second most new releases last year wasn't enough lol. Then I'm certain next year will be a dry year. Maybe get one of this new guy and then years before we see another. Let's see if it can beat the 10 years Shang Ji! Lol.
Cranes have a relatively svelt and articulated HI power armor. Arm2 seems too low, like I'd expect the metal muscle ninjas to be the aesthetic of Arm1 to 2 HI tha have strength agility enhancements thst cam get hacked. Hsien are named after Xian immortals that in wuxia fiction are ultimate killer combat swordmaster guys. But Hsien already have a good ranged combat profile and boosting their melee would make em pricier. I can see crane becoming melee guys that can actually reach melee for N5 ISS revamp. ---- Hatamoto seems above the curve, all that deadly melee profile, speed, vita, and a solid ranged profile with visor and mimetisim. Could signal a points cut for tooled up HI? Like Sjang Jisus and unknown ranger become the standard instead of outliers. So what's nanoscreen likely to do, always count as in cover that doesn't stack with cover and reducing enemy hit chance by 3?
https://infinitythewiki.com/Nanoscreen?version=n4 In N4, "a Nanoscreen provides its user with 360° Partial Cover, providing the Trooper with the corresponding MODs for Partial Cover, which cannot be added to other Cover MODs." No idea how it will work for N5.
I'm to guess it will be the same. They changed nanoscreen a long time ago to be nicely simple. years ago it was not 360 and you actually had a piece of plastic on a base, you had to change where was to gain the benefit of cover from only that angle. It was a nightmare to deal with. Playing it, that is.
I still think they go further with Nano-Screen rules clarification in N5 making it something like a simple -3 mod to be hit and a +3 to your armour save so that they no longer have to worry about how it interacts with other rules like climbing or marksmanship. This would explain why the Hamoto has "No Cover" as a skill.
Ok I'm going to take a stab at what I think will come be in Vanilla YJ. The loss of some will hurt, most are things not one used much anyway. What I would miss from vanilla is Armand, Monstrucker. Sadly YJ was supported by a lot of mercenaries. ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 5 1 1 ZHANSHI Combi Rifle / Pistol, CC Weapon. Theres a lot of overlap on your list. For example I think they will probably remove the ninja for the Sulsa Warrior. I dont think well get Jujaks and Zuyongs probably just Zuyong In Vanilla. Same thing with Haetae and Yan Huo, the latter being the one that stays because its more iconic. I can see the Long Ya being WB exclusive along with Liang Kai. 50/50 on the Hwarang entering as well i would guess probably replaced with a Crane agent, again iconic.
