That's not completely true. Suryats, Raichos, Fraactas, Kornak, Kerr-Nau, Kurgats, etc... were frequently seeing the tables. But yeah, a good chunk of that list won't be much missed. In addition we don't know how these profiles will evolve with N5, some of them might become very good.
Was CA so bad, that they need Achilles in their ranks? Now CA Vanilla with AAS - Achiles, Avatar and Sheskin with some cheap order generators you have three "one man armys". Super
What I want to know is are we going back to all out war between humanity and CA ? Since they had some sort of truce recently but stealing Achilles and others, I don't see how truce can hold after that. And I think we can all agree that people preferred the story when it was NOT all out war and change from the last book was very welcome. Only to be undone a year later with unnecessary change by a writer who can only write one story over and over again.
https://infinitythemeta.com/unitPopularity?faction=combined-army for seasons 13, 14, and 15. I see none of those in vanilla CA over 20% (in fact none of the troops over 20% have been removed). The same can be said if we take only season 15. Mind you, the data from that site comes directly from the OTM, so only counts tournaments registered there and those in which the lists have been sent. But that data seems to negate your claims regarding vanilla CA, which was what we were talking about and was the released unit table. Also the Overdron Albedo have been replaced by a Drakios albedo, who I assume will come with some Unidron-analogue. I bet we will see a "team achilles" box with those five, and maybe 1-2 of Drakios' syncros (or they allow Drakios to use 1-2 Ikadrons as such, thus also promoting the sales of the 2 Ikadron+2 Imetron box, leading also to the addition of some use for those extra 2 Imetrons... mayeb that second Lt order of the Avatar turns into a Imetron AVA+1 XDDDD)
Put that one on hold, please. For a time. We don't know if CA Drakios keeps his N4 Albedo. Same as we don't know how will Achilles, Sheskin and Avatar look like in N5. All we know for (relatively) sure now is that they will be in N5 vanilla CA. Bah, we don't even know whether there's still Albedo at all in N5. Anything beyond that is, well... speculation.
I did not miss anything, but you might. Well there is always the chance of leaving Aleph voluntarily, you would not break the truce just because four very well known people decided to go join CA on their own would you?
Go tell the whiners Sorry, since when ITS tournaments is representative of all Infinity, buddy? It's actually only a tiny fraction of the games. Ridiculous and irrelevant :) Suryats, Raichos, Fraactas, Kornak, Kerr-Nau, Kurgats and others were seeing good table time, I stand by it and your fractional data negates sh*t.
That's the point. I let them whine and I move on. Ignore it. I agree with you there. ITS is a small fraction of players. My local group meets twice a month and we have a tournament once every few years. I’m not sure CB realizes that some things are popular because they are the only thing some factions have. Of course, YJ takes Shaolin so much and O-12 Varangians. They are the most reliable, cheap sources of smoke they have. Guilang is of two camo infiltrator specialists that costs under 30pts.
Can we please stop the complains and the complains about the complains? honestly do some speculation, discussion about the news, but leave the doom mongering for when you have the facts.
Oh, don't worry, my ignore list is already rather well supplied but at some point, it becomes quite difficult to follow threads when you have to get rid of half the intervenants. Anyway... I would say they know. Every experienced player (and I'd like to think some CB employees are) can quickly tell in a second if a profile is gold, average or crap, as well as estimating let's say the value of a cheap smoke thrower in a faction that doesn't have any smoke. I'm pretty sure ignorance is not the issue. The reason they are not fixing very obvious issues (like profiles no one will ever take, I mean for example, who wants a non-panzerfaust non-camouflaged Daylami?) is still a mystery to me.
Sorry if this is a post in the wrong place but is there a recommended reading order for lore? Is it simply everything they’ve printed in chronological order?
It’s also worth remembering that when it comes to profiles, etc, we’ve seen part of one N5 profile, miniatures for 17 N5 profiles, and the roster for a single part of a single faction.
The fact it is the only source of data doesn't mean it's exhaustive, relevant or right. Based on our only source of data, life exists only on Earth. Saying "this mini was not much played during the last ITS tournaments so it means it's not played at all" is just fallacious and wrong. It's also dumb, if the person really believes it and didn't just say it in bad faith to painstakingly try to win an argument...
They could have just done actual marketing by questionnaires. I’m sure many of us would be more than happy to fill it out. I can think of a number of questions that would give them answers they could use. A questionnaire is also a way to get to people to sign up for things. “You must have your email on record to fill out this questionnaire.”
There would absolutely be Japanese troopers serving in the State Empire. Not all of the Japanese citizens that served were required to serve in the JSA and some that started there would likely be recruited into other units. There are bound to be Crane Agents that were recruited from Kiesotsu because of proven loyalty for example. Probably some Guija Pilots that failed the martial arts criteria to pilot a O Yorai but really excelled in TAG piloting.
