In the case of the Libertro I think is something more fishy - maybe salmon genes

Small annotation, technically the Human Sphere does have "antigravity", by using Apollonium current day humanity can make use of artificial gravity and repulsion fields, the limitation is that humanity is not capable of using it to the fullest potential limited by energy consumption and heat dispersion, as far as I know it is only used on military vessels, but that's all old news that appears on the RPG books so who knows 5 years later and some collaboration with the EI maybe Pano has finished its Dyson swarm project

She's got fully bionic legs and Areistea skill. She's like a super hero.

For Liberto I'd say Fish Sense! lol

    As far as Hatamoto goes.

Despite having only ARM2 (he looks ARM4), this guy is pretty good. We don’t know what the other weapons are, but an X-visor is always good. With BS13, always in cover and mim-3, he’s going to be a good shot, In CC he’s a monster with the ability to take anything down either with Mono or E/M CCW. I think we heard Martial Arts now lets you roll multiple dice and take the best one. NBW ignores any neg mods place on himself. As a YJ player of course I’m jealous. I wish the Crane Agent was this good for this cheap. I think the Asawira might still be the top HI though.

Edit: A couple things that puts it in top echelons of HI is that every single profile will have Specialist Operative, then the Lt. shown has +1 order.

Another edit: This is the only one I've found so far with a Red Fury and X-Visor. It's amazing! He's on 0's from 24-40.

From the most recent N5 profiles released, they seem to calculate the PS for CC Weapons in the profiles. It seems independent from Martial Arts. I wonder if that is the case and if Martial Arts affects PS.

The Void op in CA has it. And yes it’s a great combo. Although Hatamoto is much better with higher bs mim and 2W.
    But still a great combo.

I see no reason why it should, in this particular case.

Under N4 rules, you got DAM bonuses from MArts - but these bonuses are nullified if you run into an opponent with Natural Born Warrior.

Under N5 rules - as we are told - NBW only takes off negative CC modifiers from enemy's skills. Therefore, it would not affect MArts DAM bonus (if it still exists under N5 rules). Unless there is a different (new!) skill that can reduce MArts CC DAM bonuses, just calculating it into weapon's PS makes way more sense:
    • the weapon will always use the same PS.
    • you won't be looking for damage modifiers elsewhere anyway.
Of course, this implies that CC DAM bonus might be getting totally decoupled from the MArts skill.

I'm honestly curious what will N5 MArts cover. From the old N1-N4 MArts, every element has already been seen separately in N4 too:
    • Courage
    • Stealth
    • CC +3 (and for Mother Ammunition's sake, if NBW no longer can take that away, why just not include it into the model's CC value? I mean, it will always be there anyway)
    • CC -3
    • CC DAM +X
    • CC Burst +1
But hey, let's see what CB came up with thsi time :)

There is always room for improvement. Feeding ideas for the future never hurts.
Still you are right, changes will happen after N5 rolled out.

I'm OK with you getting rid of my beloved Spiral Corps and never bringing back Tohaa (I'm not, but you get it).

And I'm more than fine with you getting rid of 'named' NA2 factions like Dahshat, Druze Byram Security, ForCo, etc.

But what I really truly like about infinity (beside weird aritchoke aliens) is Cyberpunk Anime bullshit set in a Dystopian galaxy where Corporations have more sway then Governments. I have nothing against the people who like their Europa Universalis era politics set in Space. People who want to play Crusaders in power armor, vastly prefer Japan to China aesthetically, or don't care about coporations so much as an intergalatic space war against existentially threatening Aliens. I'm glad these people are enjoying the game with me and it's frankly their money and excitement that keep this niche game growing bigger every year.

But please please, leave in too generic NA2 style factions: Mercenary Company and Corporate Security Company. I don't care if they are competitive at all. I just really really like roleplaying low-level, non-regular armies. I want to project my own stories and motives onto them. And I don't need any cast-off named characters either. (well maybe Lucien, Valyera, and Le Meut). I love the idea of for-hire cube retrievers, and freelance (in the worst sense) journalists. I bought two spiral corps starter boxes just on the back of how cool an alien-human Private Military Contractor is. A corporation that fit the Cyberpunk aestethic perfectly with its claim that it was a specailist in hunting speculo's. "and for the right price, your rival is probably a speculo"....

On second thought do bring back Sprial Corps :D. Shas was popular right? can they go the JSA route and split from CA? Jam the remnants of the Shas that escape, plus the cut off and derelict Tohaa forces into Submondo? Force them to scrap to survive, very fitting for their unorthodox and not traditionally powerful in-game styles. Please just give us Cyperpunkers our own little corner.

(I LOVE THAT METROS ARE COMING BACK, MRRF aesthetically and lore-wise are just the coolest most punk version of Ariadna)

Thank you for reading, and for all the great games.

Why should you have doubts? look at the cowl of this mini, it looks great!

Yes, yes, I do know people do not like the Baltea at the torso, but I like the cowl more.

There are a few PanOceania units in SWF aside from Boyg that are either rumored or semi confirmed to have some Voodoo tech augmentations, there are several mentions that several factions and individuals are heavily invested in either acquiring or researching Voodoo tech and there are several reverse engineering efforts.

So outside of been helped by an external force, for example Tohaa who are allies or Samsa's Concordat who has a bone to pick with CA, there are several cases were they can, given enough time and motivation, research and reverse engineer some form of Voodoo tech.

Just to add to your point, the story moving 5 years in the future adds to this. The fact that these things (like researching alien tech) have been ongoing at least since paradiso and a lot can happen in a sci fi setting like this in 5 years with regard to growth, advancement and breakthroughs.

Agreed, five years is a long time even in real life, more so in a fictional setting.

Okay. Then why they not put some bionic legs in XL size on the Boyg to achiev D+3? I still not see, where the voodotech go or was needed for the Boyg. Pan O can do KoJ which has better CC, same ARM, broader spectrum of weapons and better mobility, better BTS - he lacks Hacking ECM and D+3 but dodges on 14 vs 16.

It's not like it's the only one to not look like it's rules. The new JSA Hatamoto looks like a proper Hi but it's only ARM 2. Or all the guys with CC weapons who would get their ass kicked by a CC specialist. Or all of the HI that are actually just 1W+NWI.

Essentially PanO has issues with achieving the power armour systems miniaturization Yu Jing have achieved, at least in an economic industrial production level, Boyg is a failed attempt to bypass that by using Voodoo tech and as a patch to try and salvage the whole project is illegal Cube integration augmentations.

For what they use voodo on the Boyg? To achiev what? Hacking -3 was an upgrade after release. The only outstanding feauters the Boyg had on release was B+1, which nothing new or even need alien tech and Dodge +3 which are already build in Teuton Suits which are S2.

KoJ is already more advanced S3 armour. Old Aquila has Vis L3 (YJ only Vis 2 in a S2 suit) and Swiss is camo 6 in S2 (which YJ also have).

With a side look on the KotHS wich also feautres a S5 HI set: They manged the use of a TAG size weapon (Yan Huo), MA defense (NBW) wich requiers an advance sensitiv sensor system to let the user use its skill (which seem to be much easier through rem control (hello Gator)), an advanced noise suppresive system (stealh - which is already usable in S2 - Santiago), a Holoprojector (also available for S2 and not requiering a HI suit) and high BTS (KoJ) - all in one place. All in all not super impressive and maybe more driven by psychological reasons (size matters).

So what marvels are hiding in the Boyg that need voodoo tech to run?

Again it's just background that has no effect on the figure or the game.
