Some of the CB recent videos have included a screenshot from the new tutorial videos they are working on for N5. For example at 11:39 in this video:
The example they show though is Essentials and those have older figures. It might mean nothing and we know they always have mistakes in things at first.
But now you have the no cover rule, so impetuous and Frenzy in fireteam no longer will benefit from cover
Is it confirmed that that's what this skill does? My first guess was a rewording of nanoscreen requiring this to prevent double up cover. On the one hand that would be neat, on the other hand it means frenzy is now purely a positive skill so this guy is even more busted for having it.
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” Me slightly panicking after seeing some of the pictures above… excited for N5. Terrified, but excited.
They tried to fit more skills there because 13 is an unlucky number, but ran out of space. Way to go to make things simpler.
The profile is literally drowning in skills...talking about oversaturation... Frenzy + no cover + nanoscreen = to be or not to be in cover, that is the question...
Would you prefer to go back into Nested Skills and having to remember that Skill X does give you Skill A and B, and that Skill A gives you as well Skill F?
Or maybe we don't need units with Frenzy, NBW AND MA, then having no cover but a -6 to be hit from Mimetism AND Nanoscreen? I mean, lorewise how does it even make sense to be a master martial artist and a bloodthirsty idiot at the same time? It just seems every new release has to one up all the old releases to keep the hype train going, and the game be damned. Wouldn't it be better if the hype was based on units offering new playstyles instead of "same than X, just way better"?
No Cover and Nanoscreen? I'm feeling a disturbance in the Force ;) Of course, we have no idea yet on how will these two skills interact. Or, to be precise, what is Nanoscreen going to do in N5. By N4 standards, that'd be mutually exclusive (if we had a No Cover skill, that is!).
By the way, about de-nesting and stuff, if we re-nest the skills to their prior incarnation, this profile is still packing 9-10 skills
No cover seems to be a negative still and therefore is used on the enemy like Primeon Superstars BS-3.
