Ten years ago it was rumored that PanO would get a flying bike and a hover Drone (named Red Eye IIRC). The time has come finally
On the discord UpirLihi had found a possible match for the antigrav and also for future Panoceania flying drones.
I don't know how vehicles would work, but seems like it could become a solution to deliver CC specialists to their targets. Plus I like flying drones. I hope their miniatures would be without tactical rocks to make them "fly".
Lady on the back looks very boring. Seems not very impressed by the misslie that missed the hover-bike just by a meter or so. I have my doubts about vehicles and "flyers" in N5 ... but we´ll see.
Note that this up there is not an antigrav. So far in the Infinity setting humanity does not have anti-gravity (but with the latest developments who knows). It's a water scooter in a really dramatic moment. I'm fairly enthusiastic about the vehicles, because so far CB has designed some really good ones. Apart from the scooter, we've also seen buggies and MRAPs (i.e. below), but also APCs and even small submarines, that will probably not get a model in the game, as per Bostria's comments.
Drones are common in Stargrave. It can be as simple as drones can ignore terrain. It can't get partial cover itself and the only weapon it has is a pistol. It can forward observe but is not a specialist. Other skills: sensor, discover+x, spotlight.
I think the change of calculating the PS and rolling lower than that is good. It's unified with the rest of the rolls in the game. But PS in weapons sounds horrible. It's a stat that is better when it's low, and it is a bit weird to have something called probability of survival in the weapon... I don't think it's very intuitive. They could've stablished a basic PS roll of 10 and then you add armor/BTS to the roll and subtract the damage of the weapon. So a combi would be damage 3 instead of PS 7, a HMG would be damage 5, etc.
Possibility of survival, potential survival, chance of survival, whatever it is called, its a name that means the lower the number the bigger the lethality of the weapon, if you put damage. lethality, whatever meaning damage the number needs to be high. There is one thing in PS and it means the lower the number the less chance you have to survive the hit, it is not an armour save anymore its a survival check.
Simple and clear. Shorten to SV on the profile. Even if people just start calling it save, it still conveys the same meaning. To save my guy, I roll under this.
Just pure guess here : Maybe naming value with something that has the same initials in several languages Spanol & English at least) is something CB considers worth trying?
There's a long interview with Bostria, from 38:43, Bostria seems to be talking about the future of the number of existing armies, I'll let you confirm that. Personally I understood that they were going to merge some of them like the Starco that Bostria mentioned, and by personal extrapolation that the Kestral force would be the future of the Acontecimento and Neoterra, so no return of these factions to the benefit of the Kestrel, same as the Spiral which would be merged into the Tohaa, which would be logical with endsong's sense of history.. Episode 98: MetaTalk - N5 Bostria Interview In this episode, Devin and Ian are joined by special guest, Carlos "Bostria" from Corvus Belli! They discuss the general state of CB, some of their goals with the latest edtion of Infinity N5, as well as touch on some changes that will be coming soon. https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/...de-98-MetaTalk---N5-Bostria-Interview-e2nlb93
Jumping to conclusions already? We'll see what exactly does that mean. Sure, StarCo feel very much like "Corregidor & Friends on their gap year". And Druze Bayram feel like they need a rethought & rewrite, and need it badly. Shall StarCo become formally a Nomad sectorial, or be incorporated into Corregidor (losing a few models in the process), or something yet else - we shall see. And yes, I'm playing these two NA2s, I have a dog in that fight. We'll see.
