They look great! How are you liking the fact that these are all siocast? And have you had a chance to play the game yet?
Thank you! I'm totally fine with the Siocast, the quality is great. Assembly and handling is great, and the amount of flash is really low. Removing some of the mold lines is naturally fiddly, but not really much more so than on metal. The only one I had some little problems with is the Orc Wisemane, but I'm pretty sure I won't see any of the rough patches on him when he's painted. And yes, I played the tutorial scenario with a friend and we enjoyed it a lot. He's definitely getting the game as well.
He looks great. Honestly, as much as I understand people who complain Orcs have been done to death, I like this skandinavian/viking touch CB has given them. It makes them comparatively unique.
Really good looking. Will you actually main any of these factions, or will you rather wait for one of the other factions and just use these for introductory games?
I quite like the Northern Tribes (specially the orcs) and will probably make that my main faction to start.
Thank you! I'm getting close to finishing them now, only the Frostfire Herald left for the hegemony, and then the bear.
And done! Well, everything but the pre-order ice bear. But I think I need a little break from Fantasy and will do a couple Infinity minis in between.
Althought that you still did an awesome paintjob here, it looks to me that you were a bit lazy on the cape part compared to your previous post. Maybe this is related to your late SciFi appeal.
And here's my entry for the painting contest. It was somethign very different from what I normally do, and that was challenging, but also great fun. More airbrush work than I've ever done before.
