They are all based on historical Samurai helmet designs.

JSA has been using Pano weapons since they left Yu Jing. pretty much all of the current minis have Pano weapons now.

    JSA use NA2 Reinforcements though?

Are you sure about that? I thought that is was implied that the project the JSA Engineers were working on became the Mowang after they defected.

It was part of a "high capacity ultraheavy power armour" prototypes were scraped and Daiyokai was what was salvaged from research data and got put together from inferior research and manufacturing capacity of the new Japan.

Very curious about the Sokorentai. Echoing what was said before, a WB or drop troop (although we do have the Oni for deep strike capability) would have been interesting and provided something completely different. An S6 TAG that fits between the Daiyokai and O-Yoroi seems like an odd choice to add to the army. Sweet model though. I'll wait and see and give it some tabletop time before I say much more.

If it's got a decent gun and the ability to leverage it it will be a most welcome addition.

Large figures sell, especially for the US market. The needs of the army are a secondary thing

Unless it means that in the long term we get S2 siocast minis (like Warcrow)

I believe its just a logistics thing, Siocast is made in house and the Siocast production is currently occupied with the launch of Warcrow so they have outsourced the production of the larger items. I guess it remains to be seen what the production demands for Warcrow are

They have 2 siocast machines, not 1.

I believe the actual number of siocast machines CB has is irrelevant.

What is relevant is whether there is enough production capability available to churn out as much stuff as CB wants to, or not.
And if the quality is up to CB's expectations.

...regarding the medium itself, I'm not a great fan of the siocast, but I can live with it. Haven't had to do with the unicool plastic - unless that's what the 2gen Marut (and I mean, the general release one) was made of?
I have understood CB's desire to keep production in-house, though.

Well, all in all, we'll see how it folds out.

The good thing of warcrow getting resources from Infinity, no more siocast for the moment

@Errhile the Unicool Marut was the limited one, not the general release

There is an article about production:
    Reportage: https://www.farodevigo.es/o-morrazo...mpliacion-nave-castineiras-bueu-86787882.html
    Or in french : http://www.bureau-aegis.org/forum/index.php?msg=214489

Corvus Belli has made investments to expand its plant, and I don't think they'll give up siocast, as that would make them too big. It's possible that Cb is still in a transitional phase towards its new plant, and that they need to use external subcontractors to solve their production availability equation.

I hope not, for the Warcrow siocast miniatures, we can see that these miniatures have one more head than the infinity ones, which gives the same scale difference as between the N1/N2 miniatures and the Icestorm scale.
We could be afraid that the siocast infinity miniatures would get the same treatment, and then we'd once again end up with a mix of scales in the factions and showcases, and then there are factions like the JSA that still have N2 miniatures, which would make Takeshi no longer look like a teenager, but like a 12-year-old child...

The scale has nothing to do with the machines or material, they've already made a Siocast Sargosh who is the same ~32mm scale as normal Infinity, Warlord make 28mm Siocast minis, and PSC make 15mm Siocast minis (some of which were originally Corvus Belli metal sculpts)

And as much as I liked those tiny N2-era sculpts, they are PITA to build: connection points are often very, very tiny.

Part of that was down to the sculpting method, CAD makes it easier to split up minis and add the quadrilateral pegs and sockets that characterise modern minis.

At this time, yes. I read the idea of a JSA exclusive reinforcements in the Telegram or Discord, I think.

The good part was that the male-female attachements being conical allowed for more range in the positions. The bad part was the weapons hold in two hands, it was a nightmare to align correctly (and the spider-S3 drones for Aleph).
