Okay… maybe this is too out there but I’m just gonna throw out my crazy brain thoughts. Lol So I’ve been thinking about the tease from Adepticon for Gencon “Think big” with the silhouette of what appears to be some tags or some such. But it’s got me thinking, the story so far has the human sphere in peace times technically. Which is why everything is kinda black ops covert small scale. What if the next step in the infinity universe (especially with the apparent oncoming massive forces of the CA at the doorstep) is all out war? More than just 600pt games but a new set of rules for larger scale games. Maybe some bigger units and vehicles that are too big for a 4ft table and 300 pt games. I’m not sure what else would be involved. But just thinking about how the story has already changed so much in the last few years and the factions are all on a knifes edge. It’s just a wild daydream thing. But hey! They said “Think big!” XD What do you all think it might be?
Personally, I love the small black ops scale and making it more than that would feel weird. Endsong did a great job of bringing back that cold war aspect. For me, Think Big makes me believe it will be another TAG focused event. I would love a month or to dedicated to releasing remodels of the older TAGs. Maggie, while beautiful and special, is a really hard sell at nearly 80 euros. If she and other TAGs were released using the Unicool plastic, that would be amazing and hopefully much cheaper. I would also love to see the release of another Size 8 TAG. Maybe a CA or 012 TAG.
I hear ya. And I get it. I’m almost absolutely sure that I’m 100% wrong. And I’m not saying that OG infinity would go away. It would just be another game mode. I also know that kinda goes against the ease of entry that skirmish games offer. It was just fun speculation. in regards to what you’re thinking, that would be pretty cool. It would actually be kinda neat if they introduced a few extra big tags like that just to give those of us who love the big stompy robots, some extra big stompy robots. I’m sure whatever it is will be cool.
Bear in mind Gen Con is also where they're launching the Warcrow starter and core book, so an Infinity spinoff at the same time seems unlikely to me. More likely a TAG box like last year's Max vs Caskuda box
I don't see how it could be unlikely: Warcrow and Infinity are two different teams, and the "think big" teaser means something will be revealed at said times, not released... And CB def still have room for a late year "big" release, since they have (yet) no KS plan for this year.
I'd love to see a general release Megalodron (and perhaps a similar platform for O-12, like the GitS Think Tank)... I'm sure they are not great for the game, but the Megalodron was cool, and I'm sad that I never got on that Kickstarter...
Infinity "Apocalypse" style ... with TitanTAGs, Aritillery, MulitRocketLaunchers and Megabeasts on the loose ... Or rules to play with the action-figures from joytoy. Nothing what realy triggers me. I played games with about 800 pts per side without any BIG things except normal TAGs. It was fun! But also last a day.
I expect TAGs (perhaps finishing the transformation of the whole line into plastic, sadly) or 75mm models to fill the gap left by Luxumbra.
