Its a shame that they dig out a skill, that they took off the Kriza (because it has no counterplay). The Premium Silverstar is optimized as hell but does not pay premium for that. Beeing new and shiny helps a lot. If you they only would do a rework of on older sectorial when they push out a new one ...
It does feel like this is going to be Invincible Army 2.0. Rovers are Zuyong, Yellowjackets are Liu Xing, and Striders are Zhencha. Both Striders and Yellowjackets trade skills for affordability. An interesting choice that fits O-12's style of very optimized and focused profiles. The strider minelayer profiles being specialists as well is pretty cool. Also, a red fury option, a midfield burst 4 weapon on 1.5 wounds? Pretty sweet for 34 points. Nimrods are interesting. FD 8" Hidden deployment SMG seems very underwhelming but you have to remember this is on a unit with 6-2 mov + Super Jump. I think this little gun can do surprising damage if you can exploit that super jump. What's more, if this sectorial has a lack of climbing plus, then maybe it will fall to the nimrod to remove units camping on rooftops. Theres still a lot to reveal about this sectorial. We got two new REM units, very likely a new TAG, two characters, and a cyberteam that will likely be key to protecting this sectorial from hacking threats.
Actually wondering if someone just fucked up the preview profiles again, because that's not uncommon, and that was supposed to be CC Attack (-3) to go with the otherwise completely out of place CC damage bonus. I'm actually not that bothered by the unit profiles. The Liu Xing is better than the Yellowjacket, it drops on 14s vs 12s. The Yellowjacket is generally better in the F2F aspect because BS12+Mimetism is superior to BS13, but its gun selection is shithouse for an unsupported AD HI trying to penetrate enemy lines on its own. The 8" band is not your friend because hacking is a thing, and the Yellowjacket can only work with a basic bitch Combi outside of that. The Liu Xing having a Multirifle or Spitfire is much better. Zuyong are almost entirely irrelevant in N4, nobody with a brain is going to get mad over Rovers which are just Zuyongs but more expensive and have worse tinbots and profiles. You'll probably see more Rovers than Zuyong though just because there isn't a Shang Ji equivalent making them mostly pointless. Striders are fine, they're not as good in a fight as Zencha, C+ gives them a much better ability to pick fights and bypass defenses to attack specific targets. Striders get NCO which makes them better at handling busy work like pressing buttons, dropping mines without taxing the order pool on attack pieces, but you wouldn't want to pay for NCO on a Zencha as IA already has extremely high internal competition for the NCO slot in an army. Hellblazers are interesting because they give us the ability to make a very solid guess that Impetuous is an 11 point discount give or take a point.
Wreckers have BS AP so all their guns have AP ammo. I AM VERY HAPPY! Moonrakers are awesome for such a low cost. Just for orders, I think you would always include two. Samus is a HI with fd 8" plasma rifle. Lol I am not sure what guardian does for her whens shes not great at CC, I guess its to nerf her with S4.
Right now I'm foreseeing, if I play, a haris/core of two Hellblazers with Hippolyta. Core or haris of 2 Rovers, 1 Waverider, Haris 2 stormbots and 1 Kludger.
Maybe they swapped ccw with Jamie. That would be kinda crazy if she also had an exp ccw. But I wouldn’t complain. XD
Its the Cygnar style swords isn't it Also holy shit wave riders are the most nomad profile profile I have ever seen.
I paid like zero attention to that, did any of the characters actually rip off Nintendo characters though? This isn't even just a look alike, like Lupe is clearly designed on GoT Daenerys, they even decided to rip off the name this time with Samus "Aran"tes MNetroid HunterRover. I mean shit they even stole the Metroid logo to go with her: That's Samus' symbol straight from the Smash series.
In addition of being obvious and uninspired plagiarism, what's the point? How about coherency and universe building? I don't mind a few discrete references here and there but I don't want Daenerys, Samus, half the Marvel/DC characters, etc, etc, etc... Who likes that? A little lawsuit from Nintendo would maybe be beneficial by helping CB recentering on original designs... Shall we send a mail to Nintendo's legal department? :)
I mean I don't personally really give a shit one way or the other. The TB sectorial already looks like a goofy mess thanks to the accidental bootleg ultramarines vibe.
the name Samus by itself isn't copyrighted nor is that symbol enough grounds for a lawsuit. You guys are being ridiculous. CB has made references to IPs through its whole life, its nothing new and its never been overwhelming. Can we just stick to talking about the sectorial. Does no one have any throughts on the new amazing units like Moonrackers? Did I mention Moonrackers are awesome?
Samus ARAN(tes) is copyrighted, so is M(n)etroid. Add to that the logo and the mini which will look like the actual Samus and I guarantee you it's more than enough for a judge to consider it's plagiarism. And putting a few references here and there is fun, just copy pasting tons of random characters is ridiculous (wtf, daenerys, really?) and feel like lazyness and lack of imagination. P.S : Moonrakers are not awesome, there are stupidly undercosted and thus, we'll see two in every single TB list. Yeay.
