I find the Vidocq's pose extremely appropriate for a former master criminal turned criminologist who has been three steps ahead of their quarry and is now arresting a criminal as they try and steal the prize the Vidocq is sitting on. It's a mini that tells a story and really harks back to the unit's namesake.
We will see, it was mentioned at the reveal it was not final and the weapon was wrong, I quite liked the pose on the artwork too.
Except that we are playing the minis on a battlefield. Such a pose could be nice to expose the miniature behind some glass, not so much to depict a fighter engaged in some top-secret and risky operation...
She's defending a supply box in the DZ on turn 3 of Supplies. The enemy doesn't have the orders to reach her but there's always a slim chance of an AD or Hidden trooper so she's covering the obvious approach.
A lot of the poses are best thought as propaganda shots. The image that will go on Maya if the operation was really a success and some part of it can be shared with the public.

Why wouldn't the O-12 Hippolyta count as a regular release? She's in a regularly available box. I would be very surprised to get another sculpt for her.
I guess you are right but the box kinda sucks for an Aleph player who doesn't want or need the Crusher or Cho figures.
The alternate Penthesilea has also been repackaged, and is now just a normal Aleph box instead of a Bootleg.
Sorry about that then. Well, I can see it still happening since she's very popular. The Penny figure is also the special edition one. She doesn't look SP to me. More like a Bounty Hunter. Did HB get everything they should have from the Blackwind set? Other than the REF troops and SP, I can't think of any faction that's waiting on at least one troop. Almost everyone one of them has a troop profile that doesn't have a figure though. I was hoping for a Liu Xing Spitfire for years but now I’m no longer playing YJ.
I also think this not count as a vaild SP option. Its the bootleg one. Seems like she sell well. So no Penny for someone who started SP with the last operation box. I have one (infact both) and I am happy with her. For Hippo I use the Ariteia Version. I didn´t got the flying limited (and not realy want it) and I do not like the O-12 version that much (but the other two minis in it -even if I don´t play O-12 ... but I could, I have a Raveneye). To be honest, I don´t think SP will lose much, if they have no Hippo - she is good, but in SP you have a lot good CC/Eclipse characters. No one have a Breaker Combi and most are male ... But I do! And I still want a Liu with Multi Rifle please! Better sooner than later ... its almost ... how many years, since IA dropped?
Bootleg Penny has been in production since 2014 when it was released alongside Operation: Icestorm and has been a consistent seller since IIRC, regularly outselling the normal one while it was still around.
MBH or Desperado for me, though she was bought because she looked cool and came with the Icestorm launch bundle.
You've been around here long enough to know better. You did not perform the proper ritual, and create a fantastic proxy to use, negating the need for them to produce one.
