Just got my PanO reinforcements box from Warsenal yesterday, but they order direct from CB so there's no distributor delay.

"Korean Sectorial Army" according their article, perhaps this Debak is the harbinger of a complete release in 2024.

I would not give to much of this wording. In the RF Video Carlos talked about mini-sectorials for the RF forces. During the release wave of RF I would not except any changes of the concept. But I also think it would be better to give them regular profilies - maybe in the current sectorials.
RF only is not the best selling point in my PoV.

I generally agree, with the exception of Haqqislam and the Ariadna as the reinforcement models can already be used for QK and the French. So I am more motivated to purchase those sets. For Pano, I would wait until the Neoterra update.

Please no. Let's get ISS brought up to pace before any more talk of new sectorials. It's ancient, and the age is really showing in spite of the minor (yet still impactful) brush ups it's managed to receive.

As for the integration of Daebok into the greater Yu Jing outside of reinforcements... it's kind of all over the place. Dokkaebi are obvious winners no matter where they go, that's a given. Copy/paste them over, you're golden.

After that, it gets a bit more complicated.
As far as heavy pseudo-warbands go, Hwarangs are actually really bad. They get by in Reinforcements because the archetype is just that good to start with, and the advantages they gain through the deployment format and the fact that they have no real competition in-faction at the moment (although they're handily outstripped by their similarly-minded reinforcement options in every other faction), but once they're stuck with everyone else, the mediocrity becomes glaring. In a game where everyone is given Diggers as the default generic option within the role, Hwarangs are quite pitiful for costing so much more. And that's before they get compared to Tankos/Teutons/Cenobites and the like (although Cenobites are absolutely insane). Linkability in sectorials could improve their position, but they really should be 4-5 points cheaper or have some other perks added on to justify their cost.

Sulyong competes for NCO space in a faction that is known for having amazing NCO picks. In a format where you're not waiting for 40% of your list to die before it can come in, I'm not sure how useful this would be. If it was made available and linkable in ISS fireteams, it might be okay there. But that's more indicative of ISS' problems.

I don't have much faith in any real integration of the Sulsa into any form of YJ. If they end up getting Infiltration, Camo, and Hidden Deployment, they're looking to go up another 10 points. Basically just more expensive Ninjas. The modern state of Infinity has really spurned the idea of the hidden late-game specialist profile, and the Sulsa does it no favours by worsening the hefty CC tax that the Ninja already pays for.

Haetae doesn't need much elaboration. It'll be fine for what it is, no matter where it goes. Good gun, good aim, cost effective. It just needs a model that is remotely in touch with how people are going to use it.

Ultimately, while the YJ reinforcements are aesthetically on point, and people are excited about that, I don't see any real bones for a sectorial here, especially with how powerful CB has started to design them these days. A lot of the units need some serious adjustment if they want to see value in N4 proper.
If you took what we have now with the Koreans and tried to build a sectorial from them, I think we'd just end up with another instance of IA or WB at their respective launches; unfocused, poorly thought out, unfinished messes both deserving the ire they received. CB had to go back and put in some serious effort to get them into the positions they are now. And good on them for doing that, but I'd like to not revisit that again.

I actually think there is a solid chance ISS goes "playable buy not in catalogue" in the not to distant future, lots of other factions have at least one sectorial or retired miniatures.
This was a large motivation for me to grab all the ISS in the recent Yu Jing sale just in case.
I hope they do get one more pass over of rules before they are put out to pasture because I thing they are the single faction most in need of an update.

Yu Jing reinforcements box is notable for having all new minis/profiles so no real way to use any of the box unless playing reinforcements which I thing is a strong suggestion that we are likely to see a new Yu Jing Sectorial featuring them at some stage.

That's all just my opinion though so feel free to dismiss it.

I regrettably agree with you. I've wonder why it hasn't happened already. I think next year they might give one last thing and then nothing. It's a bit sad because there's some great stuff in it and for vanilla too. It makes me wonder why they would just let it die rather than revitalize it. There's so much they could do. Sun Tze just needs a few changes to be good for both vanilla and ISS. The Crane needs a few adjustments. Fix or change the Bao. A few new troops and bam, a good revised sectoral. But as soon as I saw they were coming out with Daebak, I felt it was the death knell for ISS.

I just have it in my ear, that three is the magic number of sectorials, without a need to retire one. I also hope for an rework of ISS. But I think CB will have to make a new one - maybe after RF is not that hit, they hoped - before a YJ sectorial goes into sleep mode.

At Adepticon 2022 or 23, I can’t remember which, Carlos said they were not going to be making any new sectorals for a long time. I was excited for an ISS re-make this year but that was dashed by Bakunin. Then I hoped ISS would finally get new stuff with Reinforcements to have that obliterated by Daebak. At this point I’m guessing next year’s army re-do will be either Tunguska or Onyx.

But if three really is the magic number it should be QK to get Haqqislam back up to three. Haqq has also received a very low amount of figures this year (7). They will get a small revival with Corsan and Burtuk. Then maybe some new figs for HS Azra’il and Al Hawwa. We also know there’s new Druze coming out which are a part of QK as well.

My random guesses for the how the Reinforcements that are new units will integrate into the main game from most assured to least:
    • Haqqislam: QK (Already integrated and hopefully a larger update will occur).
    • Ariadna: MRRF (Already integrated and hopefully a larger update will occur)
    • PanO: Neoterra. Blades would get some infiltration and camo profiles.
    • CA: Onxy. Exrah seem like they would work well in Onyx and would breathe some new options for the sectorial.
    • O 12: Some new Sectorial. Nightshades get camo, HD, and infiltration.
    • Yujing: Some mix of ISS and Invincible. Sulsa would get some infiltration and camo profiles.
    • Nomads: Tunguska gets Rounders and Kulaks, Bakunin gets Spiders.

I agree with all of your observations except this. There's no limit on NCO, it's just a perk. In IA, I could see some value for some incidental MSV1, and they would happily take another NCO option. They can fill a lot of holes with their specialist profiles and the paramedic is an especially nice package. Their shooter profiles definitely leave something to be desired though.

my guess is that Tunguska gets Rounders, Bakunin gets Kulaks and Corregidor gets Marspiders, considering Bakunin has all the units with religious troops and Corregidor has all the units with Terrain (zero G).

One of my local stores got in the haetae and saw it's siocast! Is this the first regular release that's not a TAG or remote that's in siocast?

No, the Penitent in the Bakunin box, the Bearpode, and McMurrough are all Siocast, they're using it for most things on a 40mm or larger base.

Ah thanks. I forgot about Bearpode and I get the Penitent mixed up with the Stigmata TAG. Unfortunately it's still too expensive. But I'm not getting any of the REF anyway. Maybe once they are available generally I'll pick it up.

IMO, the ideal distribution of Daebak into Yu Jing would look like this:

Son-Bae MK12 is made generally available

Sulsa (with FD+8"* and Camo) joins IA
Hwarang joins IA with 0 - 2 Invincible link without any unit tags
Son-Bae Mk12 is wildcard in IA, same as the missile launcher version.
Comment: Sulsa and Hwarang are two sides of the same coin, the backstory establishes. Incidentally they both provided features that IA needs (and I do mean need as IA is currently underperforming), both in reducing price of heavy infantry fireteams and in providing unhackable skirmish support (i.e. an option to deal with threats hiding behind repeater cover without being a one shot)

Haetae joins ISS with 0 - 1 Zhian and Wu Ming link with (Zhanying) tag
Dokkaebi joins ISS with 0 - 1 Celestial Guard and Aleph link without any unit tags
Commentary: ISS is an old sectorial in great need of renewal, but given its huge roster it doesn't want for much in Daebak. Dokkaebi expands ISS ability to fight hackers using hacking while Haetae shores up some of the mid-point heavy gun options in a semi-TAG format. Haetae does step on Wu Ming toes, design wise, but honestly I think that is mainly because Wu Ming are ancient designs.
You could argue Celestial Guard is where Haetae should link with as well, but I think spreading them out is more interesting and Wu Ming teams need something both order efficient and cost efficient to lead the charge. Speaking of Celestial Guards, having Dokkaebi be available here allows for a somewhat believable Taowu bluff.

Sulyong joins White Banner as wildcard
So-Ra profile is updated with NCO as standard
Commentary: White Banner already has a bunch of Daebak with Jujak. Sulyong, generally, are weak designs with costly statlines and barebones abilities - "medium infantry". Sticking them in NCO-poor White Banner and allowing them to be wildcard is I think the best bet to get them table time. Functionally, they would provided WBA similar services that Rui Shi provides for IA, even though at 6 points more you get Lei Gong who is better in every way as a gun fighter.
So-Ra has shown that she is missing a key skill to be worthwhile and in Reinforcement we see that NCO very much can be sufficient to make her worthwhile (that and "combat jumping" for "free"). Not having to compete with Krit like Tai Sheng does will do wonders I'm sure.

    * Besides intruding on Ninja design space, this is a cost issue. Unless Sulsa got an Unknown Ranger style free lunch discount.
