If this KS works like the two takkure projects, paper, board, etc will be printed in Europe (Poland IIRC) and the miniatures in Spain, by Yehdaro (he printed a bust for the 1st KS and this guy for the 2nd one) Spoiler
The comments + replies on the campaign indicate it’ll be the same Unicool CB has used for ITS minis recently.
A recap. [Acheron's Fall] How to play Ramón from Ramper Design visit us at our HQ to talk about Acheron's Fall, their next project based on the Infinity Universe. In this video Ramón explains how to play this space battle game that will be launched through a crowdfunding campaign in Gamefound. New ship top & left. Offer: a special ship: FAQ Q; I saw in the presentation video the ship factions for the two expansions. Are there any plans for Aleph ships or NA2 ships? Also what's that fourth faction for the combined army (I recognized Onyx, Shas, and Exrah but not the fourth symbol)? Can you talk about fleet construction rules? Will it be points based or ship class based? Will there be single faction bonuses (like sectorials in Infinity)? Do you have plans for community building and outreach (something similiar to WarCors for Infinity)? Do you plan to try to build a competitive tournament environment? Do you have plans for campaign rules (tracking fleet xp and damage over several games)? Obviously a lot depends on how well this campaign does but I'm curious as to what you see as the next step after this campaign delivers successfully. R: Yes, Aleph and Na2 have planned ships. But they must be unlocked; we need to make sure the project is going well before releasing more ships. The ships will have a point cost, spaces for weaponry, equipment, and maximum capacity for part size. With this, you can configure your ship as you like. Some weapons and equipment will only be available to their faction or side. Each faction adds a number of captain cards to the side's deck. The more ships from one faction, the more captain cards you can add. This greatly changes your combat group's playstyle. RamperDesign already has its own Scouts (Warcors) system, a community map, its own discord, main event... The game will have an organized play system like of the Takkure. We plan to launch a cooperative narrative campaign if we reach our goal. However, it's not a campaign creation system. This system may be released in the future. If the campaign is successful, we will continue to release more ships and game modes. Q: Secondly do you plan to make miniatures for some of the tokens (e.g. Torpedeos, Plasma Shot, Fighter Squadrons, etc.)? R: Not in the basic game, because it makes the game a lot more expensive (you have to make a trolley for each ship, which is very expensive) and maybe not everyone wants it. What we will do is put a transparent panel with the holes as an add-on. We have thought about it. In this campaign it is difficult for us to add it since there are many weapons and types of projectile. But it is a possibility in the future, we have to see how this campaign works and evaluate it later. Q: I'm in, whats the all in costing me and can I get that star map? R: The star map will be available as an add-on with its own design. At the beginning of the campaign you will have two pledge options: core box (€85) and core box with the two expansions (€185). You have a €5 discount if you follow the campaign before its launch. To this you have to add the add-ons you want. R; Just a couple questions. What material are the ships planned to be made of at the moment? Also will this strictly be a larger ship vs larger ship game or will there be inclusions for things such as carriers with fighter squadrons/bombers as well? Q: The ships will be made of plastic, with a process from a company called Unicool. Corvus Belli has worked with some exclusive miniatures made of this material and people are very happy with the material and the detail. Yes, ships carrying squadrons are planned to appear in this campaign. R: What's the size of average battle in terms of ships on the table? Are we talking about 1-2 ships per player, or more like 10-12? Q: The most common 1 vs 1 game is 4 ships on a 90x90cm table. In multiplayer games the game allows up to 8 ships and the table can be expanded up to 180x90. Q; The campaign will start on November 2 until the 16th. And delivery is scheduled for the end of 2024.
Yes, one of the previews has a Sygmaa symbol. In terms of Trinomial or Trident, the game is set in the Human Sphere so it's unlikely, though maaaybe there will be the Spiral Corps' ship as a stretch goal
that would be... unfortunate. Unicool molds last significantly less than metal or siocast molds, thats why CB said they only will use Unicool for promo figures with short amount of copies produced
New Faq from gamebound with an discussion about Gundam Q: Can civilian ships, support ships and/or space stations be included into the rules maybe as mission objectives. If it is too expensive for you to design and produce the ships yourself you could print cardboard tokens, (players could bring 3rd party prints or ships in to represent if they wish). A generic command panel or two would be useful for this, either player controlled or AI driven rules. Would be fantastic to have refugee convoy or HVT escort missions, not just standard blockade clashes R: That's a fantastic idea that we would love to develop! Stay tunned for stretch goals! Q: Hello! Is It planned a solo mode if everything goes good? Kind of an AI to play with the other side? I am starting with the Infinity universe right now, so I dont know if this is correct with the lore or not... Could be posible to have tokens that stand for squadrons of space TAGs with their own rules? Not only fighters and that kind of stuff. Is just to add more Infinity (and Gundam xD) flavor to the game. R: Solo play in this wargame context it's quite hard to develop and implement, but if the campaign is successful and we break the stretch goals, some new game modes will be unlocked. About the TAGs, we are Gundam fans too TAGs will be present in the game in one way or another. Q: - R: Absolutely! We have plenty crazy ideas about terrain: moving asteroids, gravity wells, electromagnetically unstable areas, Proximity mines that follow the closest ship... And of course, concealing devices will have a key role on certain ships.
Symbio-Frigate is right there in the expansion box! The campaign had already unlocked an additional PanO Frigate, plus a Yu Jing cruiser, and you get the Defiance for free if you back in the first couple of days. So the number of ships seems to be increasing already.
When I first saw Acheron Falls I was pretty meh to be honest. But the more I hear about it, the more this game seems to do right! Here's the big plusses for me: - the non-inuitive inertial movement seems to add a lot of depth to the game - euro-game management per ship is a brilliant idea, and makes the desperate internal narratives of each ship in the fight come alive. - so many cool ideas to expand the game; hacking, boarding, TAG teams, deployables, independently-moving weapons, etc - 4vs4 mode sounds amazing - the scaling damage to ships sounds great, and will allow for some very cinematic moments, and tactical retreats in bigger games - Unicool make very good models, great choice of production So with all that, sod it, I'm going in on the game. PS the spanish-langauge (with subs) explanation of the game's mechanics is the best intro vid they've produced imo, I recommend it. Overall I'd say the videos have been a bit of a weak point in selling the game to me.
Actus recap: - Various cardboard materials and more luxurious improvements to existing material have been released. Scale comparison Spoiler: + New ships Spoiler: + New Ship: Pano Frigate New Ship: Yu jing cruiser New Ship: Order Military Frigate New Ship: EC Destroyer Work schedule Please note that if the campaign lasts 15 days, the pledge manager will offer a 3-month purchasing opportunity. Spoiler: + - According to their previous ks, acheron is their biggest success, their previous financings were around 250-500 people, here we've reached a thousand buyers. - FAQ Q: Some people have been asking us for this option. We are thinking of adding the option of buying more IMEs to allow the Commander Pledge backers to "going multiplayer". R: Some people have been asking us for this option. Funded in 1 hour and 22 minutes and almost 200k € in the first weekend. This is going well. Now the project entered the valley, so time to relax and prepare new strech goals calmly
