I think you may have missed my primary point - I'm not all that upset that Yu Jing is being splintered, I'm upset that the message being conveyed by CB and parts of the community is "suck it up." As much as I'd like to believe Invincible Army, or some other replacements, are coming down the pipeline soon, I've gotten nothing but words. No dossiers, not even soft timelines, just "we're removing 1/3rd of the faction. We may fix at some point, we're not sure when." I need a little bit more than that to maintain the faith.
Yes, I have used all of them in different missions. Here's the list I played a week ago for Unmasking: Open in Infinity Army Were I to make that list two weeks from now, I lose the option to activate all three consoles in 5 orders. I lose one of the best tools for killing the enemy Datatracker, and I lose one of the most resilient Datatrackers I can take. I couldn't play this mission the same way without them.
While I see the Uprising as an interesting move (and I'd welcome a similar change in PanO), and I think that some people are getting too dramatic, I see this article as a huge disappointment too. It should adress at least some of the concerns YJ players voice, but it sent a message that CB either doesn't understand or doesn't care about them. I just hope they'll change their approach, or that they'll have some really good info for YJ at Adepticon.
If CB doesn't want to share further information at this point, then, well, that *is* your option. You still have viable tools, you can still use your JSA minis, just not the way you wanted, and you will get further information when CB is ready to provide it. And, well, if the current answer is simply, "patience"/"cowboy up"/etc., then that's life. Take whatever action you see fit.
Chinese, Japanese, dirty knees, look at these! I’m seriously considering buying the new box, but Ikari and StarCo seem darn cool so I might wait until I know what’s up for sure. Not sure about the waifu on her moped with a scythe, cool model, sure, but I have something against scythes unless she’s planning on going back to mowing the grass after the battle.
That`s bad but your roster looks like JSA with some YJ gun guys rather then YJ with few JSA specialists. And I don`t get a bit about resilient Datatracker, Su Jian is still with you. I was asking because I`ve realized only Bakunin models I`ve used consistently in vanilla were Zeros, cheap infiltrators. And Ninjas remain with YJ.
JSA is heavily restricted on "gun guys," and that's part of what makes Vanilla attractive as a faction, to me. You get to threaten your opponent with stuff like the Yan Huo HRMC and punish them with Aragoto or Oniwaban when they hide. The vanilla YJ elements provide the heavy firepower and the Japanese troops provide the close-up punch. That's a play-style I've grown to love and I'm definitely going to miss it. I should have been more specific about the Datatracker thing - no doubt the Su Jian is a monster in that capacity. But until it can push buttons (and I hope that day never comes), the Karakuri provides a great mix of resilience, firepower, and button pushing. Another thing I'll miss.
We've already been over how losing access to Kitsune and Oniwabans significantly impacts vanilla at a competitive level and how it changes how your opponents deploy and ability to play aggressively. You could at least pretend to put up a proper argument. Also it bears reposting Hahaha.
Oh but I am if the entire loss vanilla Yu Jing are really complaining about is Oniwaban, Kitsune and raiden (although they are absent here for some reason) then the impact to the list is minimal. I see no resemblance to the pic and the article, but I guess if one wants to believe something they will distort what they see enouph to fit what they want to see.
You're incorrect. One profile can define a faction; see what removing Wallace from Caledonia would do.
CHA is a Sectorial, not a faction. An apt comparison would be removing Kitsune from JSA. What would removing him from Ariadna do? Likely not much. I don't have data, only anecdote, but I personally have never seen him in an Ariadna list.
The greentext in question is implying that despite why the article was written, in response to the Spanish yj players upset, that it would contain no information about yu jing future. It was entirely correct.
That's because of the lack of Lieutenant option. Actually, Cherry would be a better analogy. She's run extensively in both vanilla Ariadna and Caledonia, and provides a functionality that is otherwise lacking. In any case, vanilla Yu Jing is one "list" and so is JSA. It's one of the selectable options for army composition.
@psychoticstorm @A Mão Esquerda You'll two'll defend fucking anything hey. I'd like your source for what profiles people are using, and if it's ITS, what fraction of games played it represents. Do you two have any idea how many lists aren't being registered?
I already have separate models for using in JSA and for using in Vanilla, painted accordingly. Defend this from my perspective.
The source is likely Infinity Army. They already have admitted to making a model purely based on people taking it in IA a lot, so they definitely pay attention to the information they get from it.
