I am expecting it to become a regular alternative or the replacement of the classic gamemode.

    It is that good.

The more I think about it (without seeing the rules of course) the more it seems to me that there will effectively be two kinds of Reinforcement units:
    • Attack pieces/button button pushers
    • Cheerleaders/ARO pieces.
Since they will come in turn 2/3, there will be precious little orders for them to use. Therefore - the way it seems - there will be enough orders for 1 or 2 of them to actually do something, while the rest will either be cheerleaders only, or ARO units, which will prevent the enemy from re-taking the objectives last turn. In this situation, every skill that increases survivability (like mimetism, or +3 dodge) might be a great asset.

Has anyone tired making some 250pts lists just to see what it’s like? That half of the force we know what we have to work with.

It feels interesting kind of needing to rewire the entire mindset on how you make an army list.

Then Reinforcements come on top of that adding an extra unique layer.

The real question is when will we see the models?

The date on the image where they say what's coming out was October/November. Others didn't have a date.

I think it's pretty clear that reinforcements boxes and blisters are going to come out over the next year or so, replacing C1 in the release schedule. From how complete the previews were it seems like PanO are going to be first with Yu Jing following behind in second place, as is right and proper.

How can I like and hate this at the same time? :joy:

And Nomads will still have received more models this year than everyone else together. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    J&J's robot reinforcement circus

Tactical Awareness on the sensor bots probably needs to go away next season.

Well so far this sucks. As I thought Dokkaebi is NOT cheap. Many things cost the same or more. I have to take a .5swc zhanshi that costs more too, when I'm already points and swc starved. As far as I can tell you can only take them when doing Reinforcement.

I mean YJ made it out pretty well with Reinforcements! Haetae+Dokkaebi seem like a fun synergy.

I mean, I don't know if anyone really trusts you on these things since your job is literally "wrangle the forums, talk up CB"

Dokkaebi is 25 to 30 points what are you smoking? That's relatively cheap as far as 2W units go. Getting access to pitchers on BTS6 KHDs HI that also pack Spotlight and fireteam with Tinbot -6? They're pretty cool at that price point.

Speaking of spicy units, the Hatae is something else.

Now that is an interesting profile. 35pts for TacAw and BS14 on a linkable unit with a large gun I am interested. The Guided option on it too is also very interesting BS20 means you can't miss.

My thoughts exactly, the Hatae looks absolutely brillant, with its B4 BS14 Heavy rocket launcher (of course that requires a Haris link, but is seems perfectly viable).

The Hwarang just went up several levels in danger given how the reinforcement rules work. Getting to place the drop pod during the game means the Hwarang can literally start on top of something they want to stab if your opponent is encroaching on your side of the table

Awesome Force is awesome! While I'm bummed about how poorly thought through the commlinks are - for all factions - this new rule set in general has me excited and positive. I think Yu Jing got the best deal of the bunch by a fairly large margin.

You guys have a wide variety of dangerous and different reinforcement Haris options. I can definitely see that as a wildcard when facing a Yujing force.

I’m trying to be as positive as the rest of you. Just once I wish YJ got something so good that everyone complains about for a year before it’s finally nerfed.

The Dokkaebi are cool but I was hoping for something cheaper. So far, it’s impossible to make a core team. Literally impossible to make a pure core team. So that BS11 is going nowhere. Hacking-wise, they are pretty good. Yes they have access to a Tinbot-6 but that doesn’t’ come cheap. It’s got to be Kwon or Jujak. After take them, there’s not much left over.

Haetae. I’ve got to think more about them. At first it looks like the most boring troops I’ve seen YJ get. But that 35pts. +1 B HRL with Guided seems very cool. I don’t understand why they allow a core team for him since it’s almost impossible to make. a 100pt. core team. So far this is the ONLY way. It's actually not horrible but no room for changes. But it does have 3 TacAware (not sure if FO bots still get it).

    RUI SHI REINF. Red Fury / PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0.5 | 20)

    2 SWC | 100 Points

    Open in Infinity Army

The main problem I’m seeing is that it’s difficult at best to make a core team or just have more than 4 troops in this that don’t suck. I can’t see getting to 2 SWC because the troops are too expensive.

The haris options are better but if you DON'T take a TacAware or NCO you are a bit screwed for orders.

Almost all our troops are going to be landing in areas are mined or repeaters everywhere. I Know I’m going to be taking more Guilang minelayer repeaters and put them where they are likely to go.

My main peev is not totally with the Reinforcements, it’s the other side with needing to take an overly expensive Zhanshi or Celestial. So really it’s 4.5 SWC in the army. It doesn’t leave you with much.

Just build 3-man core or haris teams and leverage NCO and TacAware, those are some of our defining strengths anyway. The cheapest Sulyong is 23 points, Bixie is a murder machine that can now come in right where she wants to be and Jujaks can complement a Dokkaebi nicely with firewalls and engineer. The Hatae is a super optimized brick with a B4 HRL and guided just for the lulz.

This stuff has synergies and built-in efficiency at every corner, I'm honestly baffled about your assessment.
