In the apple play store, you can already update the mobile Army app. The mobile army app has a new faction/sectorial listing: Tohaa and other OOP sectiorals are separately listed under "Playable but out of catalog". I like this - it gives newcomers more orientation. Spiral Corps is listed as "out of catalog" In the options menu, you can now select "Reinforcements". But currently (10:00 o'clock in germany), this options does nothing =( I think the update is not yet complete
Ouch. My heart. My Varuna heart… A moment of silence please for the Squalo Mk1. It was a solid profile especially for Varuna. It will be missed. The new profile is nice and I’m looking forward to the new mini, but I am wondering how I’m going to fit my old squalo on a S6 base… thankfully not painted yet so I can still convert him somewhat. Gonna need to cut those legs I think.
@Koni REF Haqq Engineers are called "Burtuk" or "Burkut"??? In Army on Android they are listed under both names in the same entry.... Edit: List of different names: Haqq-REF says "Burtuk" and "Burkut" Logo says "Burkut" QK Entry says "Burtuk" I think, I will stick with the Logo "Burkut" :)
I think, that it would be better to reassemble miniature, keep legs the same, but shorten the body to fit silouette x)
Ok, to talk serious, my friend is terribly upset because of Squalo. Good, he is not on the forum. Because he could be banned already. It is still not nice, that old squalo cant be in use. I dont even know, what to proxy with him...
Why do all factions except NA2 and combined have at least commlink +1? There are exceptions in NA2 that have access to alguaciles and guhlams and there seems to be no commlink fusilier in white company. And another observation: every faction pays 0.5 SWC for the commlink skill just all of the nomads don't pay SWC. If it jas the lore reasons of a space faring civilisation then why does the combined army which is mostly fleetbased too has to pay tje 0.5 SWC? All in all on the first look not a Fan to pay 10 points and half a SWC to get a combi toting spec OP and the comlink.
That’s a very good idea and one I’ll consider if my current plan fails… I’m going to try cutting the legs and repositioning them so he’s kneeling. Some green stuff and a lot of patience will be needed. I’m definitely calling your idea plan B though. I understand your friend being upset. One of our player group who has the old squalo as well as the recently cancelled one is quite unhappy too. He’s not sure what he can proxy them as. I will post pictures of my conversion attempt when it’s done. @StephanDahl, if my first attempt doesn’t succeed I thank you for your suggestion! Edit: just checked the army builder and the Mk1 is back! Please don’t let this be a mistake…
Totally understandable... Squalo (imho) is one of the most iconic TAGs out there, cause he feels like the most Vanilla of the Vanilla TAG´s. Cutting it from the roster without any alternative feels weird. I can understand it from a fluff standpoint, that old mashines will be replaced by new ones, but still... With that i am looking at 6 Magisters, 3 old Teutons, a S2 KotHS and more Order sergeants than i can every field again and think: well, at least you can proxy it. Maybe as stand in for the Dragöes. (Funny thing: in the Browser ARMY there are still both squalos. Print your lists as long as they are still there!)
A S7 TAG that is no longer in service in their original faction? It sounds like a good proxy for an Anaconda, which is now usable as reinforcements in all NA2 ragtag bands of mercenaries.
